Urgent ; Windows Media Player help

I only have a bit of time left and I need to figure how to edit this video properly.

I took 2 videos yesterday on my camera, then I just uploaded them onto the computer and got them on WMP.
Now, how do I cut parts out that I don't want in the video.

I don't think you can edit videos on Windows Media Player. You might be able to do it with Windows Movie Maker.

Yah you can't use WMP to edit video. Try Windows Movie Maker

I don't know if WMM is free but I think Picasa (a photo editing and organizing software made by Google) edits video. It is a little bit slow but it does do stuff like chopping off pieces of footage you don't want and exports the remainder of your video. I am not sure what formats it handles but I have done it with .MOV files. It's free.
