I have four rabbits that live in my laundry room...a fixed male (done in October) and three females (mom and two daughters, born Oct. 31). When I came home tonight I found Annabel busily building a nest out of torn newspaper and timothy hay!!! DO FEMALES DO THIS WHEN THEY ARE NOT PREGNANT!!!???? If she IS pregnant, either my male didn't "take" or, somehow, she was able to get together with one of the two outdoor unfixed males. My niece took care of them when I was in Denver for a week and I was there Dec. 8 - 16 so the timing is right on target. If she let them get together, I'll strangle her!!! :X Please tell me she is just "playing house"!!

Does can make a nest and have a false pregnancy - but it is usually around 14-17 days after they think they got pregnant that they nest.

You might want to talk to your niece about this - and don't be surprised if she has babies!

I forgot to add that I think a male can still be "fertile" for 6-8 weeks after a neuter.

Yeah, I knew that about the 6 - 8 weeks thing but it's been 3 months for Mr. Shredder. Oh Lord!! No more babies...PUL-EEEEEASE!! :pullhair:
