Please forward to anyone you think may be interested. Jamie e-mailed me today. The following need to be out of the Bergen shelter asap - their time is running out. Especially Chilli (Chinchilla) - only has until 12/5 and then Reeces (Flemish Mix) - until 12/20. They only hold animals 90 days before euthanizing them. No exceptions and it does not matter how many others find homes. 90 days.

I just got an email from the rescue (For Bunny Sake)I volunteer for. It looks like theyare pulling five from Bergen.

Hug-A-Bunny usually pulls from this shelter but they were full as well. I think we are making space even though we are overflowing.

I've gotten a few of my buns from the Bergen County Animal Shelter.
They're about 15 minutes from me.

Do they allow fostering out of the shelter, or is it considered an outright adoption?

I'm full up right now, but I might be able to swing a VERY temporary foster.
I would need someone to commit to taking them prior to taking them out of the shelter, though.

I can also help out with transport.
I can't go too far.... with the price of gas and all.

I'm also going on vacation during Xmas week and can't leave the extra bunnies at home for someone else to look after. (My 8 are going to be more than enough of a job for them)

It's so sad that they were all brought in as strays.....poor bunnies need some loving now.

How grateful these strays are. .......
Awesome to see the RESOLVED tag. Thank heavens Hug-A-Bunny and For Bunny's Sake could accept them and will put the word out for fosters to help.

Thanks for posting the information and the updates,
