Later in the evening last night I got up from the computer to feel a sudden sharp pain in my leg when I went to walk. I thought it was my knee, as I have a lot of knee trouble even at the age of 21. Put a brace on it but it didn't help. The pain is unlike anything I've felt, the only time it's not hurting is when I'm completely still. Even changing position's in bed hurts. This morning when I was feeding all the pets I thought I was going to have to have my mother come home because all the sudden I couldn't bare ANY weight at all without a lot of pain.

To move around I've been using things for support and limping. Sometimes if I walk a certain way it doesn't hurt as much but I still have to limp. It's only in my left leg and now I've learned it's not the knee, but above it somewhere. I spent a lot of time yesterday on the computer, so I don't see how it could be a sprained muscle. I wasn't doing anything strenuous.

Anyone have any ideas? Part of me wants to see a doctor but I don't have health insurance so I don't want to go unless nessecary. Any suggestions on how to help relieve some of the pain other than pain meds?

:(

So pain reliever didn't help; there appears to be some swelling.
Looks like I will have to call in sick for volunteering tomorrow.

Ouch! Um I would apply R.I.C.E (rest, ice, compression and elevation) Until you can see someone. If it's swelling def put like a compression bandage or something on to control the swelling and if you have like deap heat or vultaren emu gel massage that in? Hope it heels soon!
