Well I thought I would do a quick update :)

Tommorow a really nice breeder is coming, she is swapping my DM Lionhead buck for a breeding trio of Abysinnian Cavies (for my breeding program). They are gorgeous. The boar is a creme color, one of the sow's is a TSW & the younger sow is a red agouti.

She is also bringing along her Broken agouti French Lop buck, Frank, to breed to my doe. Like it is so convenient, she has a nice buck and I happened to have a nice doe! So we will have some nice French Loppies running around in a month :pinkbouce:

Also she is bringing me a tort AFL (American Fuzzy Lop) buck tommorow :D He comes from top lines, he is 4months old, show quality, fully pedigreed & absolutly adorable :D She is giving him to me for free, because no one has really been looking for bucks. He is going to be a show bunny I do not intend on breeding AFL's.

Also another breeder we know is getting out of English Angoras, so my mom is buying her 5 from her. There is 4 does ( a chocolate, a tort, a black & a japanese harlequin) and there is 1 buck (a chocolate). They are all show quality except the japanese harlequin. They are also fully pedigreed and they have Great lines. Mom is paying $250 for all 5. Like that is such a great deal :D We are most likely picking the up Sunday,

Also October is almost here :pinkelepht:That means shows are super duper close :D I have 5 bunnies I'm showing;

Pandora my junior black English Angora doe

Nightshade my junior black French Angora doe

&

Snickers my tort AFL buck ;D

Oh I forgot to mention :D The lady we are getting the English Angoras from, she bought a Broken black French Angora buck from me about 3-4 months ago, she wants to give him back to me :D I'm super excited, because I didn't keep any kits from that litter :grumpy:He will just be a wooler, as he doesn't have the qualities I wanted to show or breed :p

But that is all :D

Oh and Cheerio's babies have their eyes open and are starting to adventure 1 by 1 out of the nesting box :inlove:

Oh also here is a pic of Snickers when he was really young :)

He is such a handsome boy :D Updated pics soon to come ;) His face looks thin and pointy, but it isn't lol I don't know why this pic makes it look like that :p

Dun da da da...

Proud to present Snickers :inlove:

I got the cavies, they are GORGEOUS. So glad I made the trade :p

Also she decided to keep Snickers, because I guess he is turning out really nice. She said when she breeds her doe I can have POL. I'm kind of upset though because she told me I could have him, oh well.

Oh I felt one of my smooth coat cavy sows and she is definitly pregnant. So I have one sow due in like another week or so. The one I just felt should have them in like a month or so. :D

I got a GORGEOUS show quality Flemish Giant Doe today, the lady really wanted a Lionhead buck. She raises Flemmies, I love her setup. Each of her rabbits had dog runs, like the HUGE ones, with dog houses and they had half cement half grass. The grass part had chicken wire layed down so they couldn't dig. She has hollowed out logs and everything. It was amazing. Anyways so I'm still deciding on a name! She is an April Fools baby :p She is Sandy in color.

Also I went to a breeders about 2-3 weeks ago to get a Jersey Wooly doe, well she had a litter of 4. One of the kits was 3/4's of the size of the other ones, his 2 hind legs were all messed up, I felt really bad. Anyways he can eat and drink and everything, so she wanted him to go to a nice pet home, so I said bring him on over! So she gets here, and says "Well he has a friend, so I figured you would take him aswell" lol so I have a young black Lionhead buck, he is gorgeous. They love to cuddle :) So cute!

But I just thought I would update. I know there is some Flemmie lovers so I will post pics later on!

:O

COUGH. I hate to say anything about it but you really outa focus on one or two breeds. Seems like you've got a lot on your plate and that's never the way to go. When you focus on a breed on two you tend to do better than if you've got tons of variety to mess around with. I know I'm doing a lot better now than when I had a random assortment of bunnies I thought were cute... If you want to be a serious breeder, I would stop the accumulation. It's a lesson I learned the hard way.

lol Thanks Erin, but I'm actually kind of getting out of breeding. I have bred 1 of my French Angora does, to get some show kits. But that is it :p

I'm really not breeding anymore. All my bunnies are just kind of pets. I will be showing a few though. I have 2 pairs of Lionheads I MAY breed in the future :)

Thanks for the advice though :D
