Hi everyone! I had posted a lot on Thumpers aggression! He used to lunge and nip, and you couldn't go near his cage without a few growls! But now I am pleased to say he's over that! At least for now! I have learned to try and prevent it from happening instead of mindlessly just hoping he won't do it! Instead of just reaching in his cage for refills I throw his favourite foods down on the bottom level of his new cage (lettuce and carrots) and he's so distracted that he doesn't even care about me invading his space! And his hopping on the couch is still in progress but instead of biting and lunging when he's throwing a hissy fit over not being able to jump on the couch he just runs around the room to let his anger out! We don't use the mama bun method when he jumps up on the couch because he didn't respond to it so we used a spray bottle to squirt a little water at him when he jumps up as a passive way to let him know that it's not his space! I'm so proud of the progress he's made and he's definitely calmed down after being neutered! And it's only been exactly a week! I also want to say thank you to all the advice that's been given to me to be able to work with Thumper :) and I'll keep you all posted on his further progress!
