Untreated Leather

Is untreated leather an ok play thing?They sell strips of it at the store for birds mostly. I waswondering if buns can chew on that??...

I'm thinking probably not, but I could bewrong. I would just be worried that they would ingest some ofit and that wouldn't be good. My rats had bird toys withleather at the bottom, I took it off before giving it to them.

I know, my husband has a leather bookmark and itfell on the floor recently. Wouldn't you know, Valuran makes a beelinefor it and starts eating it! Needless to say, we took it away as soonas we noticed and he's ok, but it did give me a scare.
