I'm having serious Ikea envy....there's no Ikea within 100 miles of us! I just have to browse online and wish for one here....we live in the sticks!:(
Gosh Ikea had only opened up here maybe about two years ago or so....and it's such a huge store.

I love Ikea and the closest one to us is well over 2.5 hours. It's such a shame because I could really just live in that store. I could. That's how much I love it. You'll definitely have to show us pics of what you get. You're so lucky!

:bow<-- I'm green with envy.

I love IKEA! Ours is only 30 mins along the motorway... yay!

IKEA is the biggest and most fantastic home store in the WORLD. I swear all my furniture is from there.

I love IKEA, although i do have bad memories. I threw up all over the sofa department out of my nose. We got a free tea towel!

Sorry Amy-

Fran- you said you threw up out your nose?

One time me and my husband went out to the Dixie Dance Hall, which is upstairs.. I got sick.. from eating mexican food before we went in, and drinking entirely to much Tuaca..

So I am running down these stairs.. big cowboy husband runnin after me..as I am going down... there prolly 20 or so of the *newly divorced on the prowl, big hair, lots of makeup, cheap western clothes mid 40's women* headed up the stairs for a night out..

I threw up .. spewing out my nose and mouth sprayin' each and every one of them as I went down...

I didn't get a free tea towel though...

I did come pretty close to a freebutt whippin...heh..

Hahahhaa, Zin! Great story!

We only bought our bedframe and our dresser :). We still need to buy two end tables and two lamps for the end tables. We decided that we would wait on those, so we can make another trip down to Ikea when we save up some more money...to "gadget shop" while we are there and stuff. Plus, we'll have to go down that way to go to the bunny store anyway. I could have "gadget shopped" this time around, but the gas to get there took all my "gadget money" :grumpy:.

Ryan build every thing at 1am last night, lol. We have to move our dresser into the bedroom yet...then I'll get you guys some pictures :).

Ohhhh, and I also bought the bunnies a present as well (aside from Benson, he is too old for this present). Some one on here left a thread with these awesome metal baskets that they used as hay racks, and got them from Ikea. I am going to try it out and see if it works well for the bunnies :D.

Hahaha I'm one of those annoying people who doesn't follow the arrows!!! I don't have to go through the whole store if I'm done that way lol.

Yeah, i must have beena bout 6 but i still vaguley remember it! I suddenly felt really realy sick so my Mum started rushing me to the loo, i started to be sick and it all started spewing out my nose, it was really acidic feeling - horrible. One of the guys at the little kiosk threw a tea towel at us to wipe my face with. My Mum went to give it back, he as like 'err.. no, you can keep it'. Worse thing was that we washed that teatowel and used it for many years after. I think we still have it!

Another IKEA related story, when i was about 4 my favourite toy of the moment was a little duck shaped pencil sharpener (weird child). We went to IKEA to get a new kitchen. Somewhere along the way i lost the little duck. We went back a week later to have another looks because we didn't find what we wanted. My Mum opened one of the kitchen drawers, and there was the little sharpener!

We have IKEA meatballs in our freezer and you can get Daim cake in Sainsburys now.
