We have a beige microfibre couch set. After pulling the couches away from the wall, I discovered that sunnyhas been peeing (often!) down the back of them.

She has been litter trained, knows what the box is for, or so I thought.

How can I stop her from ruining our couches and hardwood floors (which inevitably "catch" the pee)????

That's easier said than done.
She gets up on the back and pees down the wall.
We've been trying to teach her GET DOWN! Which sheunderstands, but I think if I leave the room for a second, she gets up there, pees and gets down again.

Try sewing some moth balls inside cloth and laying it up there.
Just watch and be sure she doesnt like the smell, she shouldnt...but with buns you never know..
If she hates the smell she will stay away from that spot...

Good luck :)

Great idea!

Although, when I was a year old, I ate a box and a half of mothballs....They taste sweet! :)

I'll give that a go, though and see what happens.

Thanks Salvaje & Lissa

Just to let you know a cleaning tip for your couch!

I have a micro fibre couch... what sold me on it was how you can clean it!

Just plain old WINDEX!

Spray the affected area with the windex and wipe off with a papertowel. It not only removes the stain but the smelltoo. You can also use the antibacterial one to clean it.

Windex? Really?

When we bought the couches, they threw in some special cleaner, about 5small bottles. Well, between red wine, coffee, marker etc...We've gonethrough all of the bottles now.

I used a mild laundry soap with water to remove the pee stains, but I think I can still smell it.

I will try the Windex!

I've never checked but make sure there's noamonia in windex. The rabbits will just think the amonia in the windexis their pee. Same goes for any cleaning product.

Well, now I have another worry anyway.

She chewed off the hand of a barbie last night, I think she may have eaten it.

She was fine all last night and early this morning, but for the last 5hours now she's been sleeping and she hasn't pooped at all.

She woke up to have some hay and some carrot.

Bunnies are normally most active during theearly morning and evening. Sleeping during the day is notunusual, unless she is normally more active at this time ofday. I know my buns will be completely conked out for hours.

Keep offering her lots of hay to help pull everything through, the morefiber the better. Some canned pumpkin is good to use for thattoo.

If you can gets some try giving her some dandilions the greens and flowers.
Salvaje has always loved them and a friend who is retired vet told me they are very good for buns.
They help the liver and digestion. And for a treat he also gets oats.
Salvaje ate a phone cord a year ago I freaked but he is still fine.
Watch her carefully and make sure she does poo.

Thanks for the reassurance.

We are not usually home with her during the day. My daughter is sick,so we stayed home. I didn't realise that maybe it's completely normalfor her to sleep most of the day.,

She is up now, gobbling hay. One (normal) poop so far.Normally, whenever she moves from somewhere, there are at least 5.

Guess I'm paranoid.

After her hay, she promptly jumped up and pooped a kazillion poops allover the couch. I caught her in mid-pee. The Windex does get it outquickly and easily!!!

Susan! I love you!!! We just got a dining set in white microfibre, andI was dreading trying to clean ketchup stains and the like - but thisWindex thing is AWESOME.

Anyways, back to the bunnies -

sunnybunny - I can just imagine the look on your face when you pulled the sofa out.
:scared: I think I would have yelled and then laughed - youmust admit - it's kinda funny what our bunnies do when we're notlooking.
