what a week. i just started anew job 2 weeks ago which is going really good, long hours uggghh ive been working 45 plus hours a week whichhardly leaves me any time to do anything else. ive luckly gotall the rabbits i had in rescue adopted out so no one here to take careof, but then ive had to make the decision to put a hold ontaking in any rescues. my husband and 2 partners have aremodeling business together which he has decided to leave.so for now he is out of work. since last october work hasbeen very hard to get for them, and when they do get jobs they have tofight to get paid for the work. its put us behind of some ofthe bills and made things very tight. this was the mainreason i got my job, not so much bills but to pay for all therabbits i take in so that he did not have to. but now i willbe trying to pay on the bills. its been a very stressfulweek. im trying to get ahold of utilitie companies to set up paymentplans on bills which we have never had to do before and im just totallyfreaking out. our bills have never been behind and im worriedto death that they will shut us off. luckly ill get paid weekly fromwork but at least my first 3 checks are gone and i havent even got themyet  not only on top of all this, i justhappen to be cleaning out my car on friday to noticethat mycar insurance expired on july 28th. so i call my agent, mind you wehave been with this company 3 + years now and have always been on timewith payments. he said they cancelled my insurance back inapril of this year!!!!:shock2:i was like wth!! we paid what ithought was for a 6 month premium. nope apparently the homeoffice messed something up, so i had a past due balance that i didntknow i had. so they used most of the money we paid forthat. then on top of that sent the bills to our old addressthat we moved from almost 2 years ago. and its in theresystem our new address. so we didnt get the bills in. so they cancelled us. talk about PO!!!!so i had to post date a check for 104 dollars to reinstate myinsurance. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

honestly could things get any worse????????

bills out the yin yang and i have no idea where im gonna come up with the money to pay them.

im already working the max i can at work and only taking oneday off a week so i cant get any more hours. andalready have 2 post dated checks out to pay on two bills.

hubby is out job hunting as we speak so im keeping my fingerscrossed he finds something good and gets hired.

right now things honest just suck. we never been inthis situation for everything to seem to just be thrown at us all atonce ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh

(((brimmhere)))

For some reason the Universe sometimes decides to give us challengesall at once...I don't know why. And I know it doesn't feel like itright now, but as PuterGeekGirl said, it will get better. I've had afew such situations in my life, including a 3-yr stint of welfare as asingle mom...that was enormously hard financially and emotionally.Whenever I find myself in sucha spot,I have to stopand catch my breath and take things one day at a time, one bill at atime, one challenge at a time. Otherwise life can just seem toooverwhelming.

Companies are usually pretty good at setting up payment plans in suchtimes; by approaching them and presenting the situation, itshows them that you are willing to pay your bills and you are takingresponsibility. And once your husband finds work again you will be ableto then get caught up and back in control.

I do understand just how scary it can be....(((HUGE HUGS))) toyou...these things do pass, as you will see. In the meantime, pleasetry not to stress yourself too much. I'll keep you in my thoughts andsay a prayer for your financial situation...

:hug:thanx so much guys!! itis totally stressful. ugggh gonna try and get ahold of theelectric company again about setting up a payment plan, called earlyand was on hold 30 plus minutes and they still didnt answer the phonelol ill let ya know how it goes with hubbys job huntinghopefully something comes though soon....

hugsxxxxxx

I can sympathize with you. I've beengoing through this, for years. Has Hubby gone toUnemployment? He might possible be entitled tosomething. If not, they might possibly be able to steer himthe right direction to get a job ASAP. There's alwaysday-to-day work, in the meantime. My hubby has been out ofwork since May 1st. He might possibly begin workingtomorrow....that is, if he hasn't screwed things up. My moneyalways went to the buns, too. Then, last year, I also foundmyself paying the bills. Hubby (with his Motherencouraging him) refused to leave the Company, that he and a few"friends" founded. He wasn't bringing home enough to even paythe mortgage, never mind the bills, food, and insurance. Hangin there Brimm......there are lots of us, in the same boat, that arepulling for you. As I am typing this, Hubby got thecall....he starts work tomorrow! Thank goodness...the firstpaycheck goes into the oil tank so we can hot water! It'lltake months before our bills are straightend out....it'll take years topay back everyone (family) we owe. It will get better for youBrimm.....hopefully, soon.

 Kim this hasnt beena good year for many of us , Myselfincluded , I dread wintercoming on again and no work forthe Husband .We ourselves are justgetting back on track from the last 3years , Hang in thereHon it will get better . Hug aBun and make the world go away .

Oh Brimm,
You're not alone. Bassetluv is right, One day at a time, onebill at a time. The utility Companies just want to know youintend on paying the bill, they usually work with you. Almosteveryone gets in a tight spot now and then. Have patiece andbe strong.I'm sending Good Karma yourway. Prayers and hugs...

Brimm,

I'm sorry things are all happening at once.

I can sort of sympathize with you. My husband and I own our own business. So when it rains it pours, and when it don't rain....

Well you get the picture!

As my grandpa always used to say "chin up kid, it could be worse"

I am keepin gmy fingers crossed for you and yourhubby! Don't let it get you down. I know.. easy forme to say. Many of us have been or are in the same boat asyou so we can empathsize with you. Things can't get muchworse so they have to get better from here. Goodluck to you both, my thoughts and prayers are with you, until you don'tneed them anymore!

I hope it all works out for you! Our situationis slightly different. My husband and I have good jobs and make decentmoney. However,we both work for the City andcurrently my division is in a huge messy court battle withtheCity Attorney. Its extremely stressful. IswearI have put on 15 lbs. from stress eating. I would loveto get another job but I can't find one that would pay enough to paythe bills, daycare, etc..

The blessing was finding our Bunny! She has made me much happier when Iget home. I am happy to see my family and all but just seeingBunny waiting for me when I get home is icing on the cake (which I atetoo much of!) haha.

When it rains, it pours. that's whatmy mum always says. and when i get really overwhelmed by things, (ihave $$ problems too), i always try to remember how lucky i am. i havea happy heathly family, bunnies included. and i am so grateful to havesuch basic things like, my arms and legs, vision, hearing etc. thinkingabout people worse off than me makes me feel that i am able to handlewhat life throws at me.

i hope everything works out for you, in fact, i'm sure it will!

lol

I hope you all have improvements comingsoon. Don't be too proud to ask for help from close familyand friends, they are the crutch that can sometimes keep youwalking. Also, a good temporary job while out job hunting isworking as a temp. worker (go fig. look at the name) It canseem degrading sometimes, but it isn't meant to be a longterm thing, only until you can find something better. And you get to tryout different jobs and learn about different companies, businesses, andother things.

all i can say is to follow the advice alreadygiven..........and when it looks and feels like you are at the absoluteworst is when youll notice things to start to turn around! i wish youthe best of luck in turning your situation around!
