That's just a brown snake or a ground snake.

Rattlers have diamonds and the triangle head, don't they?

Why yesh... I forgot to make note of my trip to the rain forest slated for this afternoon...if you notice in the first pic.. slightly above the pic.. the giant gorge in the midst of the jungle..

I did bring along my trusty Indiana Jones whip that plays the theme music when you grasp the handle..
