Today I QUIT Smoking.

One of the hardest things I have ever done in my life but also one of the smartest things.

Considering I smoked for almost 40 yearsI darn proud of myself. So believe meif I can do it any one can. Iused the patch for 2 weeks, then thought what the heck am I still putting Nicotine into my body for. Went cold turkey after that.

Susan:)

Woo hoo that's great! I know how hard it can be, my Nana is 57 and has been off them for about 5 years :) She smoked for about the same length as you.

I smoked right from childhood, and quit smoking two years ago this month. It really gives you that feeling of, wow, I can do anything! I promise, to anyone who wants to quit, the cravings DO go away, you wont ALWAYS want a cigarette. That mindset kept me from quitting for years!

YAY TO YOU, SUSAN!!!

I am so proud of you. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!! When you get the craving for a smoke go pet one of your bunnies. They will be the MOST LOVED rabbits in the world. My mom smoked for 50 years, got breast cancer at 67 still smoked she finally ended up with COPD that killed her at 85. Okay not a bad age but her last 10 years were sheer hell, on oxygen etc, couldn't breath. I use her as an example to all the young kids that go through here that smoke. AGAIN WAY TO GO !!!!

good job! i smoked for 8 years and then quit when i got pregnant...havnt smoked in 8 months and almost everyday is still a struggle for me.

they say ciggerettes are like meth the way your body is addicted to it and its a lifelong battle to stop.

Way to go Susan! My grandma Shaffer quit cold turkey and I am proud of her. She did get cancer three times, but beat it twice. The third time they had to let it take its course and she passed away at the age of 84.

If anything bad happens and you want a cig, go cuddle with your rabbits, they are great at reducing or getting rid of cravings.

I am trying to quit having sugar in my diet. Not easy when I love soda. I am trying to drink more tea and water and milk, because it is healthier.

Again WAY TO GO!

Great Job! Quitting is the best thing you can do for your health.

They did a study that showed cigarette smoking is actually more addictive for women then men because they have more receptors. It's a very hard thing to do, but even your bunnies are healthier for it!

I have stopped emotional eating with the hug a bunny plan. It really works very well.

Congrats Susan!

I started smoking when i was 12 and i quit almost 2yrs ago myself, im 31 in November! :)

Though i must admit, i still get cravings but have yet to fall off the wagon.
