I saw this on Petfinder... I don't know if it's OK to post it here, as well. I just thought that it was sad. These two little white buns are probably not going to find homes. Here is what their listing says:
This is a courtesy listing. These animals are not located at WI-GPR. For more information or to inquire about adoption, please contact ACR&S at [email protected]

Wendy and Beebee are a pair of adorable young sisters. They are very petite, probably 3lbs or less, white with blue eyes, with very faint markings like a Himalayan. They were surrendered to a local shelter just before Easter 2008; at that time they were probably just about 4 months old.

It turns out that they were surrendered because this adorable, sweet facade hides two of the most devious rabbit minds ever born. They chew up EVERYTHING. They destroy carpet, baseboards, books, clothing. No rabbit proofing can hold them! They will actually work TOGETHER to knock down barricades, open pen doors, and climb into unapproved areas.

They also aren't particularly friendly rabbits. They occasionally ask for a nose rub, but mostly they are content to be left alone and to destroy your home in peace. They will kick and nip when it's nail trimming time, then snub you with the biggest disapproval EVER once you have put them down. When we got home from the vet last time, it was a WEEK before either would take a craisin from me!

As a result of their misleading cuteness, these two will require a very special home. Are you a masochist? Do you enjoy a constant stream of home repair projects? Do you find that you enjoy being ignored by someone after working hard to indulge their every whim? If so, these may be the bunnies for you!

We are looking for an adopter who is a dedicated rabbit owner and understands the realities of rabbit ownership. Membership in the House Rabbit Society, Etherbun, or related rescue-oriented bunny-interest groups is a plus. You MUST have prior experience with rabbits, and ideally you will also have experience with dwarf bunnies and their evil Napoleonic ways.

Wendy & Beebee are located in a foster home in Madison, Wisconsin, but due to the extraordinary conditions we are placing on their adoption, we are willing to drive them a considerable distance to the right adopter - say, anywhere in a 2 state radius. Further distance adoptions to active HRS chapter members or donors may be possible.

Wendy & Beebee are a bonded pair, and so must be adopted together.

They have already been spayed and are ready to go home! Adoption fee for Wendy & BeeBee is $120. This helps cover includes their spays, dental exams, wellness checks up, preventative parasite treatments, and other vet work done for them while at ACR&S. It does not include the costs of carpet replacement and the security deposit that we have lost, so you're really getting a bargain here! This fee may be able to be reduced for really exceptional homes. ACR&S is a 501(c)3 charity, but we will also accept a donation made to your local HRS chapter if that is your preference.

For information on rabbit care, please check out our care guide located here. The House Rabbit Society also has an excellent series of webpages known as House Rabbit 101 which are an invaluable resource to a new rabbit owner!

If you are a parent interested in adopting a bunny for your children, please read the House Rabbit Society’s information on kids and bunnies. Many rabbits end up in rescue because they are discarded children’s pets, and our goal is to make every adoption a forever home.

To submit an application, please see our adoption policies and procedures here. We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application and sign a contract if approved. The application is available here for online completion, or may be downloaded in MS-Word format here.

If you are still looking for the perfect bunny, please check out the Wisconsin HRS or the Dane County Shelter, both have lots of wonderful bunnies available for adoption!

Thanks for looking!

I saw that petfinder post and it made me LOL. What sassy bunnies. I've got my hands full of the sassy ones though already.

I always have the sassy bunnies whether I wanted them that way or not. What's two more?

Well, aside from two more that I have no idea where I'd put them plus they'd make Mocha hate more for months on end AGAIN. Happens every time with a new bun except Dora, who she didn't recognize as a rabbit until recently. LOL, when did that leggy mouse become a rabbit?

I think it's a great ad. Makes anyone who loves rabbits really want them. I'd be badly tempted, but so far away:(

Even if they'd ship them, I bet they would chew through their carrier and create havoc on the trans-continental flights! ;)

Hehe i was actually thinking that. maybe these buns just need a lot of exercise

Sabine, I was thinking the same thing. I imagine an outdoor run where they could get rowdy for about an hour around sunset would totally calm them down. I'm thinking they are like my twin boys and just feisty! ;) LOL!
