Hi!
I'm here to ask some questions about my bun Clovis. When I got Clovis in February, I found out pretty quick that she wasn't spayed - her former owner didn't see the need. So I've been planning to have her spayed once money and now, time allowed.
I was wondering - what kind of care will Clovis need after the operation? Will I have to confine her to her cage for a few days? What are the most common complications?
Secondly, because I work full time now, I'm not able to be around much during the day and I'm a kinda pooched at night when I get home, so yes, I'm thinking about getting her a bun of her own. I've been reading up on bonding so I've got some idea with how that will have to be managed, but how do you select a bunny in the first place?
A lot of the websites say to go by personality, but not how different personalities might get a long. For instance Clovis is now a pretty outgoing bunny (when its just me and one or two other people) that likes to honk a lot when she's excited about something, flop at my feet when she's run out and generally walk with me around the house. So what do I look for in another rabbit?
I'm also worried that Clovis wouldn't necessarily know how to act around another bunny. She hasn't been around other bunnies since she was a baby in a pet store.
