two bunnies and a kitten

Hi everybody,

I havetwo bunnies (Gabby (F) and Lucas (M)), bonded for about a year now. They bonded easily and quickly and it has been bunny love ever since. I adopted a kitten (M)a couple of days ago and my house is falling apart. The kitten is only a couple of months old so he is stilllearning what is ok and what is not. We started the bonding process of the bunnies and kitten early - exchanging blankets etc - before the kitten moved in. They have only met face to face once - while i was holding the kitten tightly so nothing unexpected could happen.

Theproblem is the bunnies! They have started mounting each other and circling! I only brought the kitten home two days ago and the mounting just started tonight. I let the mounting go on for a minute at most and then I break them upas soon as they circle. Is this ok?! I would love all suggestions!!

As an additional thought, i should probably should specify living arrangments too. The rabbits have their own room (with a guinea pig in a cage). The kitten is living the bathroom right now. The kitten has supervisedfree roam during the day for the most part and then the bunniesin the evening (each get about 5-6 hours free roam). The bunny mounting started tonight when they left their room and entered the main part of the house where the kitten had been previously. They then ran back to theirroom and continued it there.

Bunnies will often react that way when you bring home another rabbit, a kitten and sometimes even a human. Its very odd. Misplaced aggression.

They do get over it, but sometimes it can take a month or more.

You might have better behaviour when they're all sharing.
