Mmm... so I have a little holland lop named Princess. (I know it's a childish name but I spoil her a lot so it fits)
She's about 3 months old and I've had her since she was 7-8 weeks old. Now I've been trying to teach her how to use a litter box and it isn't working.
I know you're suppose to wait and see where they pick to pee then place the box there but honestly she doesn't really pick one spot... she kind of just goes where ever she feels like. Another thing is I've tried to show her by picking her right when her tail lifts up and placing her quickly in the box. That seems to kind of work... but hasn't changed her behavior outside of her cage. So I'm just curious to know if this is an age thing and her natural behavior will come out more in the future. Or am I cursed to forever have to watch her and then pick her up when she needs to pee. Oh and I do put hay in the box which she does eat, but it doesn't change her peeing habit outside the cage.

She's still very young, and not neutered I assume. A little age, neutering, and consistency on your part will help. Most learn to use a litter box for urine but will still leave "beans" around. Time and patience. We used to live over the hill in Tracy.

Mkay I was just worried because I kept reading that they usually go in to a corner but I didn't get her from a rescue or a breeder... got her from the County Fair. I'm not sure if that affects behavior...

Oh and that's cool, I don't really go to Tracy though, not much to do around there that's worth driving for 30 minutes, but the cheap housing is nice. I'd probably move there when I save more money. :p
