Trying to huddle up a 9 pound flufff for a V.E.T appt

ISparky is going to the vet today (a.k.a the place, or V.E.T) he knows.. he's not stupid..when we say vet he hides under the couch. Usually only his head thought because thats all that fits :rollseyes

Anyways.. his yearly shots. Ahaha.. and some blood tests to see if he has any heart conditions (common in small dogs) one of the 'shots' is a liquid.. that goes up his nose (kennel cough) but they can't put the muzzle on him for that one... Oh dear god.

Pray for me.. that I don't get bittten...

Theres about 4 needles (including the KC) and an extra to extract blood.

I'm also going to get yelled at for sparky being slightly...chubby. He's3 pounds over weight. You may be like 'thats nothing' but it is for a small dog. Hes supposed to be like 6 pounds.. he's 9.3 pounds (we weighted him when he went for a haircut)

:nerves1I think im more scared to go to the vet appt then he is. He freaaakks when he sees the doctor (Doesn't help he wears a long white jacket, clicky shoes and is African American)

Im getting ready.. got my hair in a ponytail.. going to put some jeans and a sweatshirt. Easy moving.

Anyone have a ski mask I can borrow ? :foreheadsmack:

I can sympathize hon. Our puppy is 33lbs at 3 1/2 months old. And he already HATES going to the vet. I hate to think of what he'll be like after we get him neutered. A vet trip with him entails...1. put the leash on. 2. walk him to the car (he gets to the gate and it's a total STOP!!!!). For those of you who used to read marmaduke you will know exactly what I am talking about. He drops to his belly all 4 legs out and looks at me. 3. Me saying "Come on Rowdy let's go". 4. Beg and plead with my normally obedient puppy. 5. Half drag half carry said puppy down driveway to car door. 6. Lift/carry/drag puppy into car. Now at 33lbs when he doesn't wanna go he's dead weight so feels like you're lugging a 100lb bag of dog food that is squirming slightly. 7. Get him in car where he shakes, cries, moans the whole 8 miles to the vet. Maybe 8 miles, feels like 800. 8. Get to vet repeat process used to get him to car again as we try to get him into vet. 9. Get shots, nails trimmed, etc. 10. Repeat process to get him back in the car. 11. Pay vet all the while listening to her "advice" to avoid this procedure. 12. Go home get him out of car and to gate where he turns into my lovable little Rowdy again. It's not that he is afraid of the vet. He is TERRIFIED of the car. I have tried everything recommended he is just totally terrified of it. In some ways its a good thing, in others not so good. He loves his yard and his house and the other dogs, cats and rabbit. He just hates the driveway and the cars. It wouldn't be so bad except for one thing. Rowdy is a lab mix. He is pure black. He's lab mixed with either great dane, bulldog, blue heeler, or bull mastiff. He's gonna be HUGE. As in easily over 100lbs. I told hubby pretty soon car rides are all his business with Rowdy.

Just got back.. he was good getting to the car, he loves the car. Thats how he gets to the the cottage where he's on a leash in the ground.. like 20ft of freedom. The vet sadi he'd be drowsy... shes laying on the chaise right now staring at me. He also said that Sparky IS overweight, but most Pomeranians are, and they are hard to get out of that stage. So he wrote "Diet : Excellent " on Sparkys track sheet. I'm waiting for thier call about his heart test..
He tried to attack the vet, so they put a muzzle. Still tried to attack him...
After they gave the shots, and took blood they took off the muzzle. Sparky saw another dog and went balistic. While thier both growling and barking guess who walks by outside.. THE MAILMAN. All hell broke loose after that.
