This is as good as it gets, until they're a bit bigger. She has them WAY in the back of the nest box, at so far down, it makes picture taking in the box almost impossible. And I'm not going to really dig them out yet, so here's the sneak preview. :)

All have nice, plump bellies, and popcorned to the top when I uncovered them. I think Trisha is a bit OCD. Her nest is meticulous...the fur neatly arranged back on top. If you didn't know there were babies way back in there you'd never notice them.

YAY! Sneak peek! AWWWW!!

Cant wait until they're older.

Does she attack you when you check on them? That would be enough for me to leave them alone lol

Well, she would, but I have a system now. LOL When she comes to the front of the cage (looking all nice and friendly, waiting on her calf manna) I use my right hand on the side of the cage and she turns to prepare to launch...then I sneak the nest box out with my left hand. LOL She even bites the metal nest box on the way out and back in. The doe is a rip, and if not for the fact she's an awesome show bunny (and now, an awesome mom) she'd be long gone.

I just pray that they get their daddy's sweet disposition!

Man, all these sweet little plump, pink babies make me want to start a herd!! haha. Just kidding, the husband would never allow that :D

Can you tell how many there are??

Very cute. My rabbit Shiny Things is one of the rabbits that I breed a couple of years ago. Her mom is the sweetest thing ever. Her dad is a different story all together. His name is Rambo and he belongs to my friend. He is CRAZY!!!! There is a sign on his cage that says "HIGH VOLTAGE". You are in danger everytime you go near his cage. He produces some nice babies. I think that is the only reason why they keep him. You just never know how the babies personalities will turn out if one of the parents is crazy/bad and the other is sweet. Shiny Things has a bit of both of her parents personalities. She is sweet once you are holding her, but completely cage aggressive and defensive and on the attack when on the ground.

I can not wait for more pictures of the babies.

Carrie, there are 6 in there. 1 is pretty tiny, so not sure if he'll make it or not. The other 5 are almost twice its size. Which means that one will be my favorite. LOL

I'm going to try giving her a slice of apple (which is a VERY rare treat, now that the late frost this year killed the apple blossoms and our apple trees are bare). Maybe if I bribe her she'll be a bit happier about the whole thing. Maybe! lol
