Trisha, Kitty's young Cal doe, is in the process of delivering her first litter.

This is the nest she built on day 28...it's one heck of a condo! She put a roof on it, and has a whole burrowed the whole length of the box. Very funny to watch her building it!

I just pray that her babies will be okay, and not get hit by whatever's killing off the 12 week olds...

That is a very impressive nest! She has some really great instincts.

I was shocked. She's a first time mom, and actually built her nest when the "experts" say (at day 28). She's the first one that I have that has done that. Usually they're scrambling DURING delivery to build and deliver. LOL

The only good thing they have going for them is that they'll have 8 weeks with their mother...hopefully that will be enough.
