Trimming your bunnies nails

Can anyone give me a lil bit of advice on how todo it. I recently got a rabbit from someone who found him andit looks like his nails havent been cut in a very long time.Im afraid of doing a bad job or hurting him. Any advice wouldbe welcomed.
