A question that has probably been asked before: how do you breed tricoloureds. Is a broken black doe a good starting point. I somehow think just adding a self coloured buck of a different colour sounds too easy. Am I right?
 
No, you can't use a self colored buck to get Tri's out of a broken... You will need a Harlequin buck to cross with a broken to work towards a tri... You can check out thisWebsite you want more info...
 
It's a great article. I want to stress that the genotype of a tri should be "A" for agouti as shown in the article. Using self "a" colors produces "shaded" tris, which are disqualified on the show table (think of them as a "torted' tri").
