When I got my rabbits, they had a mild case of urine burn. I didn't want to treat them because they already would be under a lot of stress from the move, but it's been a little under a month and they are not stressed anymore. I was one of hoping the urine burn would go away with time, but like I said, it's been a month in a clean cage and they still have small bare patches and dirty fur on their butts. They don't seem to be in any pain, and some of the dirty fur is shedding off now, but I still want to do what I can for them. I know you need to bathe the butt, but I don't know much else about treating urine burn. Any tips?

I would recommend taking them to the vet as they can give you an effective treatment. Maybe move them to a wire cage & you could apply one of these.
desitin ointment
A&D Original
Neosporin Original not plus

Thanks. They are in a wire cage with a wire bottom and are no longer sitting in their pee. The urine burn happened before I got them and has not worsened at all. I will try the neosporin.

I also noticed a bit of sore hocks in Shirley. I gave her a lot more platforms away from the wire. I think she may have gotten the sore hocks before I got her too because I think I noticed some when I first got her. I don't know anything about treating sore hocks. Do I just let it go away? It is not red and raw anymore but just a small bare patch.

Mini rex are prone to getting sore hocks so you need to watch them for that. If it's just a small bare patch then I would just watch it, but I don't think you need to put anything on it right now.

It's all dry now. I was kind if hoping that new fur would come in with a molt.

I'm not sure about snowy; she's a little incontinent. However, I don't think her bladder actually LEAKS. She just can't hold her pee for a very long time. She is also the one with the least urine burn.
