Transport Help Needed (MI-OH)

Two bunnies need to go from Detroit, MI to Chillicothe, OH on or around July 25. They are two of the Orange Countyrescue bunnies who are going to their new forever home. A woman who is a flight attendant has offered to transport them from CA to MI on July 25. We need someone to meet her at the airport and then start the transport to get them down to OH. The new owner said she will drive some distance to meet someone, she would just love to not have to drive all the way to MI.

I'll be flying from SanDiego to Pitt on July 25 I thinks. I'm not sure how that helps, maybe if flight attendant ladyfalls through or something. Keep it in mind I guess, I'll see what I can do if the need arises.

I'm over by the Akron area so not really close. Also just got out of the hospital again (Thursday) with some serious intestinal pain and problems. Today I ate my first solid food in a week - yea, 1/2 a sandwich! Been living on IV's, Pedialyte, Vitaman Water, apple sauce and a tiny bit of turkey baby food.

Mind ifone of uscross posts to LL?

Ann,I hope youre feeling better soon! You mustve been able to sympathize with our bunnies who have GI problems- add some critical care in there and you wouldve been all set I would love if you would crosspost on LL. I know theres some OH/MI members there too.

GI stasis - OMG! If this is what it feels like for bunnies then it is H*ll on earth. I'll have to mention Critical Care to my gastroenterologist, hee hee. He's heard a bunch of my bunny stories over the past 4 years.

On July 25th I could get the bun from the airport and at least go to Toledo. depending on what time of the day, I might be able to go further. I wouldnt want to miss too much work, but if its after 4pm I would be able to do more.

July 26th I am flying out to Cali though, so anything after that i cant do.

That would be awesome if this person could help. I dont know if you know Amy Carpenter, but she lives in Toledo. If this person could get the bun to her that would help so much.

Now we just need someone todo toledo to a little further south... It would be nice if thenew mom didnt have to do more than 2 hours or so..

Okay the 25th being a Wednesday? I need to know what time they will need to be picked up at the airport....Then they'll have to stay at my house til I get off work, I hope she doesn't mind staying up a little late? I work til 7 or 8 on Wednesdays....

Just wanted to update anyone who was curious:

We didnt end up doing the transport this week. We couldnt find anyone elseto helpsplit the Toledo-Columbus leg and it was too much for one person to do.

I just found out we might be able to do it the first week in August. Jennifer (jam224) is going from Ann Arbor to Dayton,OH so hopefully the new mom could meet herthere.
