So, every night before I go to bed, I make Mojo a delicious "salad".. I used to put it in this small bowl, but after some advice from the vet and other rabbit knowing folk, I was told I should cut back on his pellets and give him more veggies and such(he was getting a teensy weensy bit chunky). Cool. So, I decided that along with more playtime and running about, he would most certainly get more veggies. So I started giving him his "salad" (I put salad in quotations as it isn't always a salad per se, it's a base of parsley, carrot top leaf and cilantro, with whatever other various veggies might be around :)), anyways, I started putting his salad into a regular glass bowl, like a soup bowl. Anyways, I started using this type of bowl 2 or 3 nights ago, and when he's done with it in the morning/afternoon, I take it out and give a rinse, ready for veggie dinner later.

So, this morning, I'm laying in bed, and I can hear him clanking things around the bowl... not like, crazy angry bunny or anything, just as though he was re-arranging or something. So I snooze a bit longer and when I get up, I walked past his cage and saw this....

He had gone and put all of his toys (with the exception of "Mr. Moose", who is a tiny stuffed moose from Ikea which is more of a decoration..) into his salad bowl, so now I'm wondering.. is he:

A) Just trying to mess with me :p (he's a rabbit, I wouldn't put it past him)

B) Trying to tell me to "get these damn toys outta here.."

C) Making a sacrifice to the rabbit gods to ask them for his manhood back (he was neutered a month ago) :bow:pleaseplease:

D) As my husband puts it: "Making a conscious decision to keep his cage more organized"

E) Any other suggestions????

DOUBLE RAINBOW, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?

I actually laughed out loud when I saw this, and my first thought was my husband was just messing with me, but I showed him and he laughed just as hard as I did, and swore on his life he didn't do it. This might be one of the funniest and strangest things I've ever seen Mojo do. And he is a total lunatic sometimes...

I just don't know what to make of it.. he has never done anything like this before, I mean, he moves things around as he pleases after I clean his cage... but I haven't touched anything since I think yesterday morning or the evening before...

Any ideas???

I have one bun that likes to throw toys into the water dish. As far as I can tell it is just fun. Rabbits like to make noise in general and for some reason he enjoys playing the the water dish as well, so I guess toys in the water make them extra fun? I need to get a video, he will get a drink and then splash his front two feet in the dish, jumping with just his front end several times. I imagine it is the same urge that drives little kids to play in a mudpuddle. :) Other times he will just toss his toys in and push them around. Luckily it is normally just the plastic ones that can take the water. What a smart bunny :)

I think your bun just invented a new game to play with you. You provide the salad and he provides more entertainment with the empty dish. Very polite of him :)

One of my bunnies Merry just started doing something like that! She has a water bowl and a pellet bowl in her hutch (i feed them breakfast veggies outside the hutch) and every morning for the past week when i wake up, her pellet dish along with other bits n bobs is in her water dish. >.<

I think its cute. ^.^
