I got Emmy spayed and she's apprx 4 years old. Her litter habits have not changed ONE BIT. Doesn't matter what I do. My mother mentioned that it's a good possibility she may be set in her ways, because she was "so old" when she was spayed. Is this a good possibility? :panic:

how long since she's been spayed/you started working with her on litter habbits again? being set in her ways will probably make it take longer, but doesn't necessarily make it impossible...

Sophie was 4 when spayed in March. It took her a couple months to get her butt in the box consistantly. She is now great with the pee but still marks poo a little, but it is getting better.

I put 3 litter boxes in her house and puppy wee pads around them so it would be easier to keep clean until she learned to get ALL THE WAY into the box. Silly girl would stand in the box and pee over the edge because she has a big butt and never had a box previously.

I had a cat that did that sometimes - she thought if her paws were in the box, so was her butt, heh... would end up with a poopy floor sometimes :(
