Is it just me or does anyone on here change the litter box once a day/ every two days? I don't know why they're pooping so much all they eat is hay (unlimited supply), pellets (in the morning, one handful for them both as a goodbye treat before i go to school) and vegetables - one small bowl- (or fruits, but only a little) in the evenings. Whats wrong? :O

It depends on the size of your litter box & the kind of litter you use, but some days you can just scoop out the soiled litter & leave the rest, adding more to replace what you took out.

It's too bad we can't teach our rabbits to clean up after themselves. lol

Rabbits are poop machines! Look at it as free compost for your garden :)

You only need to worry if they stop pooping or they have the runs. Otherwise that is just healthy bunny butt.

What confuses me is why they love their poop so much? The cats are happy when I clean the litter boxes and supervise to make sure I do it right. The rabbits get all pouty and try to rescue their poops from the trash bag. Silly bunnies!

We clean ours every other day, too. The poop doesn't bother me since it's a hard pellet type thing, but the pee is what grosses me out! The bedding gets to looking like clumped up mud or something...and yet they're totally fine lying in it to take a nap. It also starts to smell after the second day. Maybe tomorrow's neutering will help with that?

Anyway, I don't think anything's wrong with your bun...they just go to the bathroom a lot!

Thanks everyone :) Phew was starting to get a LIL worried about the amount of poop lol :p

My rabbits are like that too; they nip my hand and bite the litter box so I can't take it away lol :)

I clean mine every day, or every other day. There are some days he just filled the box and others where he doesn't.

Besides, a clean box seems to make him happy and keep our place smelling nice.
