What do you guys put in their food bowls? I'm trying to cut back on pellets so I put some loose hay that fell out of the metal ball thingy into their food bowls when it's about to empty. That's okay right? They're 3 months old and getting really big :O

Until 7 months they should get unlimited pellets-they should be getting big-growing up! Don't limit them too much at this age-you want them to grow well and normally and mature. Also, yes, keep lots of hay in their cage. This is really important and healthy for them.

Urgh cuz I cleaned them today and I carried them and was like WHOA WHERE DID ALL THAT WEIGHT COME FROM so I got kinda worried :( but thanks !! That was very helpful :) they won't get fat if they have unlimited hay right??? (even as an adult) :?

No, the hay has very few calories. Its purpose is to keep the rest of the food moving through the system.

Unless they weigh as much as they should when they are adults, they aren't eating too much. And even then you should transition to timothy pellets right before limiting the amount.
