I decided to start a blog for Tio - over the next week or so - I'll go back through my old posts and put things in here. Tio is 3 1/2 years old....we got him (and his twin Kyo) the same day we got Tiny. He's a neutered BUB (Big Ugly Buck) Netherland Dwarf....he doesn't carry the dwarfing gene so he's not showable.

I have old photos of him I want to put in here too.

Anyway - this blog is pretty much a place for me to keep track of memories and photos of him...but you're more than welcome to comment.

Here are the pictures I took of him this week...

and of course...the best one of all...

I know - not many people realize I have a Nethie....I'm not a big fan of them...but I've got to say that as Tio has aged...he's gotten less mean and nicer. I want to try and spend more time with him on a regular basis...

Tio looks like he should have a Brooklyn, NYC attitude and accent.

"Who YOU callin' big and ugly?!"

He doesn't look like a BUB to me! Cute, cute, cute!

I love Tio - please don't take me wrong. And I don't think he's ugly...but breeders will often call Nethies that don't carry the dwarfing gene "BUB" or "BUD" simply as a way of stating that they don't have the gene. I think its sorta funny. (BUD = Big Ugly Doe).

Tio and his brother Kyo (even after they were neutered) would often leap at each other and pee to try and fight (if I'd try to bond them). Robin called them "pee propelled ballet dancers"....and boy was that true.

Anyway - I'm glad he has his own blog - now to find the time to dig out any old stories about him..

LOL - yeah, I've seen the term before on this site and its just sounds so mean!I really never thought you of all people would call some bun "ugly" and mean it that way.

Why not just say they are a BB or BD; whats the purpose of Breeders using the term "ugly"?.. just curious now.

Is Tio doing a DBF in this photo? Too cute!!!

Aww, Peg, I knew you were just using a "term" and not really calling your boy ugly. How could anyone be serious when calling that rabbit ugly. And after hearing about his "pee ballet" I'd be too scared to say anything to him. Ha ha! I'm totally loving Tio - what a cutie!

Tio is a cutie (I did post some pictures in your thread Ali before I saw you'd linked to it here). I've got to say that at 3 years of age....he's calmed down some....I'm about to go back to bed (maybe) and I'm thinking about taking him in with me to let him play on the bed. Fortunately, he's neutered so he might not bug Miss Bea too much - then again - I DO want to get some sleep.

I'm hoping to get more pics of him this week - I actually only have about 20 hours of work scheduled (so far) - but its the week from h*ll as far as mystery shops go.....4 gas stations....3 deli shops...UPS store...Whataburger (2)....and I forget what else....I'd have to look at my list. Today is Cato's...oh break my heart....MAKE me go into a clothing store and buy something....(they will only reimburse up to $5 purchase plus pay me some...usually I spend more than I make - but hey - it means I'm buying it at a discount - right??)

I'm working on next week's schedule today - I think I'll try to put in there "A Day for photography"!!!!

:biggrin2:

I just love Tio....he has that little mischievious look to him....he's so cute and i just love the pictures of him...i love those little tiny nethie ears..they're so adorable.

I love the picture of him hanging out in the litter tray....i think that is so cute...i have the same litter box as this one in the picture but mine (not mine..the bunnies) ispink...i just thought i would mention that....for no reason at all really lol

:inlove:

Oh Peg, Tio is so cute.

You are so lucky to have all that cuteness in one house. I really don't know how you get any work done, i'd be admiring them all the time.

Susan:)
