Good Morning!!

:jumpforjoy:

It's nice out right now, but we may get snow/rain later on.

All my shopping is done....just had to buy for a few friends.

I'm starting to get stuff together for my mini-vacation next week....mostly food & drink. I'm staying at a resort on a lake in the Pocono Mountains. I'm packing lots of DVDs and eggnog :biggrin2:.

Today we order lunch in at work....it's our "holiday luncheon". There's only 2 of us....one of the elves called in sick.
I brought in a big bowl of fresh fruit salad for the morning....it was yummmmmers!

Got a stupid song stuck in my head...

"Grandma got run over by a reindeer...!!!"

Morning. You may find me a little grumpy right now as I am stuck in a lab for 3 hours where I will get my blood drawn 4 times for blood glucose screening. Blech!

At least they have wireless internet. Almost done my shopping... what to get my sister?!?!?

Are you going to the Pocanos alone?

I am not done shopping. :grumpy:

I had to work today. :grumpy:

I haven't wrapped the first thing... :grumpy:

You celebrate Christmas, too? cool.

Yep!!!
MrsD is looking after the buns while I'm gone. :biggrin2:

I haven't had a vacation for...ummmmm....over 5 years?! Not counting business trips.
I always end up staying home to look after the n-animals.

I'm not real crazy about going alone, but I'll make the best of it.
Xmas eve and day are going to be very quiet up there.....hence the bringing of a good supply of DVDs and eggnog (extra nog pleeeeze!);).
I won't have access to internet.
Cellphone service is iffy at best.
I'm already missing the buns :(.

Not me personally, but I have a few friends/co-workers/neighbors that we buy gifts for.

on with the song:
"Walking home from our house Christmas eve!"

I am starting my mad dash to get everything done before I leave in 10 days. I started packing what I could today, last night I stayed up until 1 am typing up care notes for the bunnies. I have to organize the garage, restock everything, give a thorough clean to all the pens and litter boxes.I have to givethe parentsthe lecture on following my instructions exactly, then I have to spend this weekend training them on the job, LOL. I have to try to figure out the easiest cage arrangement to make my parents lives easier and cleaning easier. I may be playing musical hutches for the next few days.

Ihave to clean my room because I have books and notes EVERYWHERE, you can't even see my floor anymore, lol.

There is a store (obviously) where I am goingbut everything is going to be expensive up there in the middle of no where and selection is limitedso I am trying to remember to pack as much things as I can. The place is fully furnished but I'm starting to think the furniture is the easy part, it's all the little things that get forgotten about!

I still haven't done Christmas shopping either.

I also need to vacuum my car out good, wash it, check oil, and check windshield washer fluid. I should probably stick an Alberta map in my car too... LOL.

I have to set up a new bank account because the town doesn't have my regular bank (grr). I have to call the vet and make an appointment for my mom to take Reese to get her teeth checked/trimmed at the start of January.

This is me right now.:pullhair:

I'm getting more and more depressed and frustrated - I can't figure out some of the gifts I need to buy..... *sigh*

Jim, My niece is dating a Jewish guy. She got to celebrate Hanukkah with him. She loved it. She won each time she spun the dreidel. She also got all excited cause my daughter's choir sang the dreidel song during their concert LOL!If you knew her, you'd understand how cute it is! She's this little blonde and she was "giddy" about the song when it started! she also acted as if it were winning the lottery when she won the games!

Bebe bit me this morning. :bawl:

Every morning I tend to the bunnies before I go to work. "WAKE UP BUNNIES!"
Today, Pebbles had some pee on the cage floor, so I cleaned it up before I gave the girls their food.

Bebe was too hungry, got too excited and impatient. When I reached down into her cage with a bowl of food, she lunged at my hand and clamped down on my middle finger. I pulled my hand out, lifting her as her teeth was clenched onto my finger.
It must of been the scent from Pebble's pee, that set Bebe off.

Bebe is always the sweetest and most cuddliest bunny when she's with me.
Sheonly growls at andattacks my wife before, but this is the first time she bit me.

I soaked my finger with Liquid Bandage to glue the skin backand bandaged it up before heading off for work.
This is what it looks like now, before I put on some Polysporin and bandage it up.

Pet_Bunny that is the mark of a true bunny slave. Mine has finally healed, but my finger print is even more distinct with the big scar down the middle of it, lol.
