Thump, thump, thump...

So last night I am laying on the couch watchingER and petting Ben. Eventually Ben jumped down to do his Ben things andI kept watching. I was the only person up in the house and both of mydogs were already in bed (they like to turn in early). Anyways all of asudden I hear a big, loud, THUMP!! It came from the dining room and Iknew it was Ben. He continued to thump every couple of minutes. I knowhe wasn't feeling threatened since no one was up, and if he wantedattention he knew where I was. He thumped about ten times in the nexthalf hour. Any idea what he was thumping about? I thought they onlythumped for fear or anger or because they want attention. It was prettyweird. I didn't get off the couch to see what exactly he was doing (Iam nursing a pretty bad cold right now) so I am not sure what exactlyhe was doing. Any ideas??

He might have seen something he was unsure of, orheard a noise coming from outside which scared him. Im reallynot sure.

Maybe Ben could hear something youcouldn't.Once Chloe was thumping like crazy and I couldn'treally hear anything different. It turned out it was our washingmachine buzzing because it was off balance. Or maybe he didn't like youwatching ER! lol!
