I pulled out this huge thistle a while back and left it in the greenhouse to dry hoping the spikes will all go limp and I could try feeding it to the bunnies. Although completely dried I could still not handle it without gloves. I gave it to the bunnies anyhow and the munched away on it without flinching!?

I noticed before that they are rather partial to spiky plants like the holly bush and the blackberry leaves. How do they manage to eat them without hurting themselves?
