Oh my goodness...Herbie is ADORABLE!!!

And aww... Stanley looks like a total mush...:D

What sweeties!!!

And don't worry, folks...Rosie is SWORN to keep away from Petfinder, unless it's to look at posts like these, hehe!!

I think eleven's enough for now (key words? for now). LOL!!

Agh!! Herbie is killing me! He is SO cute! If I lived there and were on the market for a bunny, Herbie would be comin' home with me!

I cant blame you for wanting those bunnies! -- cant you get a friend to drop him off early Christmas morning and say he must have been left by santa :D

HA HA i wish

They are too die for so adorable!!!!!!!!!!! people i need to win the lottery

If I could win the lottery, I'd get a farm and have a nice "barn" that is more of a little house.... just a couple of big rooms - for bunnies! I'd have it that way so my hubby couldn't complain about them - and I'd have it set up so I could go out and sit with them and stuff......It'd be like a little guest house!

For once, I am content with not getting any more rabbits. Morgan comes home on December 2nd, and that will make 3. I would love to bring home Mal and Mad, but it's just not possible. So I am comfy with my rabbit numbers, now. I look on Craigslist every day at the rabbit ads, and none phase me .

Now....rats, on the other hand. Let's not talk about them, lol! Let's just say that the rattie breeder in AZ is going to have some cuties available around Christmas. Ahem.....rexes and Himi's :hearts.

My goal? To bond Leo, Spar, and Ralph before then :p.

I want to like rats i really do, i have seen them and they can be cute, and i know they are such intellegent creatures, but when i get to them in person and would go to hold them i would be on the floor passed out, lol. I have been looking at them, not to get but to get over my creepyness of them, and it is not working, lol. Help i want to like them. We just had my sons class gerbils here for the week and when i first went in there tank to feed them i was petting them, and they were kind of on my hand and i was getting the heebe geebies, but it went away after a day.

Maybe i can foster a rat and see ifi get over it?

What is your fear of rats? Their tails? Their teeth? Their eyes? The fact that the FLEA carried plague on the rats many, many, many years ago?

Hehe. Rat's aren't scary. They are little doggies stuck inside of a rat body. Rats are really misunderstood, just like pit bulls are.

To be honest, rats show more affection that a hamster, gerbil, mouse, or any other rodent that I have know. Ratties can be licky and lick your hands and face. My guys like to pull on my lip rings, then "clean" my teeth.

If you would like, I could take a video of Spartan baby running around on the couch and being a little lovey guy.

Too bad you didn't live near me. I would plop a rat on you and make you get over it :p. My best friend was scared to death of my rats....she hated going into my bedroom, then I had her just watch them and pet one. Once I got my foster babies (hairless, at that)....I handed her a baby and she automatically took it to hold.

I think the baby rat wasn't scary to her because it wasn't a large rat yet.

Rats are such little lovers, though. As I have always said, I hope everyone gets a chance to experience the love of a rat :D.

I have to go to work now, but I will definitely get a video of Spartan Baby for you :biggrin2:!

my things with rats are they are icky and creepy, lol. I dont know what it is, they just give me the heebie jeebies, but on the same hand i am intrigued by them, lol. I have the same feeling with Ferrets, iiicccckkkk, except i was bit by a ferret and ever since then i just dont like them. I will have to find someone that has rats and go and touch them, lol

My sister had a rat about fifteen years ago...he was SO SWEET! Back then, it wasn't quite a known thing to get rats altered, so he wasn't, and thus would occassionally nibble your finger or have his hormonal "moods", but otherwise, he was so sweet...I loved sweet Mi Hijo. :)

Mi Hijo got to be over a foot long, not including his tail. He was what they said to be a "hooded pack rat", and just grew and grew. But he was so wonderful. He lived to be about four years of age, and we still miss him being in the family, all this time later!

He was also interesting to watch, when she would let him out for play time. I liked watching him hug the walls as he went around the room, and he would now and then venture into the middle of the room to hang out with me, sniff the phone, or clothes on the floor, or sit by my lap. He was really special.

So, while I understand how special and wonderful ratties can be, at the same time, I just don't know at this point if I could house one of my own. Obviously if I saw a need, and was able to meet it (which we can't right now, and wouldn't be able to for quite a while), I would extend a hand to open our home to a sweetheart rattie.

I also had three gerbils for 4.5 years. They were really wonderful, too. Three triplet (literally) boys, black with white features. They were really fun, AMAZINGLY smart...all three knew their names. I sure loved those little guys...:)

I am going to take a video of Spartan in a few :)! Oh, that picture that I posted...that was Leonidas, not Spartan, lol....I am nuts.

Anyway, Rosie....there is no such thing as a "hooded pack rat". He was probably a hooded rat who was a chubby boy. All rats are "pack rats".....you should see my rattie's food stashes :p.

Oh, and how about this? I am currently trying to find someone who can help out with a train....

There is no reason for them to be sold off as feeders. I wish I lived closer, but I am just hoping someone can help me get two boys into AZ.

LOL...about there not being hooded pack rats...he was a white rattie with a dark brown "hood" on his head, and he probably weighed about 4lbs. He wasn't fat, either...just BIG! :D

Anyway, yeah, I don't know a whole about ratties...but Mi Hijo was wonderful! :D

Holy buckets....a 4 pound rattie ? He must have been a big squishy manly monster rat:inlove:.

My guys are probably about a pound or so. I need to get them into the vet for a check up after Christmas :).
