Today in math class my teacher was talking to usabout getting a job because he said by the time your 26ish your gonnabe broke and stuff.. and you have TONS of debts to pay and stuff. Soanyway.. i was thinking of getting a job..

here are my options.
the problem is my friend are getting some extra credit stuff.. because i wanna change my course selection thingy..

- I can become a life guard.. because im in the highest level of swimming and im 14.

thats about it.. what else do you sujest?
Im saving up for mostly bunbuns and my savings (school) like for when i go to university.

Im giving 1/3 of my money to bunbuns (vets bills, toys etc..)
2/3 to my education.

Any advice?

It is very responsible of you to be thinkingahead. But my honest opinion is that you are just a little too young.I'm not sure about legal working age in CA, but here in the states youshould be 15 with a permit or 16 for part time.

Hmm.. I think the legal age here is 16, but you can do things like babysitting and dog walking etc.

It's very responsible of you to try to make some money - even if it isjust to buy fun things for the bunnies! Thinking about savingfor school is also great ... but remember to just be young and have funtoo.

And something else to think about - do you know what you want to bewhen you get older? Any ideas? It's also a goodidea to maybe volunteer in an area you are interested in - that way, when you are old enough to work legally, you have some experience inthat area already and people will see thaton your resume.

Like my sister wanted to be a teacher, so even before she was allowedto work (and get paid), she was volunteering at summer camps andshowing that she could work with kids.. then when she was 16.. the samesummer camps hired her to work.

If you enjoy swimming and think you would enjoylife guarding, then I don't see why you shouldn't start taking thenecessary courses. I have a few friends who worked their waythrough post secondary as life guards. I also know you haveto take quite a few courses before you can become a life guard, somight as well start now.

Start volunteering and making connections. They will come in handy later.

And try to have fun with it.
