I think he is a SHE.
I didn't even THINK of looking because when the guy picked up the rabbit he checked (not a real check, really a glance)and said "Yep it's this one" and so I was like "la dee da" and took it. Then I went to my sister's, did stuff there, and when we got back in the car around 10 I decided to have a look. It wasn't very promising.
I COULD be wrong. It's very possible. I'm going to have my roommate help me tomorrow and take a picture, and see what you guys think.
Which means if it IS a girl... Well GD it. There's a reason I wanted a BOY. I've never bonded rabbits, and now my first pair will be girl/girl... So much harder. And spays are so much more expensive around here. Neuters are not at all. Which was great. I was so mad at myself. How dumb. Why why why wouldn't I have looked?
All that said, the rabbit is nice. It was scared and skittish when the guy picked it up, but after we rode in the car it seemed more relaxed and it calmed down. I hate calling it an it, we're going to say "she" from now on. Isat with her on the deck at my sister's, and she hopped around and explored, and didn't seem frightened then. She rode in my lap all the way home, too, stretched out and liking the attention. I think she'll easily be as tame and friendly as MJ very soon.
Here are a few pics!
