I was at the orthodontist today and they're like they'll (braces) be off by june, I was like YAY. Then I just got home and Chris my hygienist/braces tinkerer phoned and she told me about that on the 6th Of March they will begin socketing and on the 13th they're off after 3 and 3/4 years!!! on the 25th they'll fit my appliances (lol I sound like a kitchen) and whiten them for $60 or free instead of $500!!! and on the 1st of April two days before I go away they will check everything and I'll be FREE!!!!!! To top this fantastic day off at the Ortho they Chris and Gerry gifted me the Twilight soundtrack after 9 years of faithful no extraction orthodontics and using me as their class 3 guinea pig!

Your never to old to have braces;) My aunty whos 46 just had hers removed, she had inner mouth braces, more expensive but you can't tell they were there. I saw a guy and his wife in their 60's/70's who both had them hehe, it was cute.

Thanks, I'm SOOO excited lol, being able to eat a apple without spending the rest of the day removing it hehe, I will miss my "snacks" tho. Finding yummy bits off food in them at random times haha.

They're not to bad, the first week is quite bad. Keep a large supply of ice-blocks on hand, also smoothies, thats all you'll be able to pellet for awhile, but you get awesome colours and pretty teeth at the end hehe.

im weraing retainers at the minute, i like smooties... YAY!!!:biggrin2:

(i might be getting them, he said when he thinks its right, so a maybe on the 20th, and thats when caramels litter is due!!!if she is pregos..

)

thanks for the info

I had my braces put on when I was 44 and got them off 4 years ago. I remember the exciting day when I had them removed. Your teeth will feel really strange at first - I remember my teeth felt loose for a while. Congratulations!
