My rabbits did so well on the car rides and theyloved it in Vermont. We had a very nice setup for them, which I seem tothink they may have liked better than their own home! Of course, Ididn't think to take any pictures, mostly because we have so many ofthe buns and I was busy taking shots of friends and family.

The first day we were worried, as they didn't seem to be eating ordrinking much, but them some fresh parsley and lettuce from my mom'sgarden got them going.

Also, we had no problems at the border. On the States side, we all butgot waved through and coming back into Canada today the guy asked usfor the rabies papers, then laughed when he remembered that rabbitsdon't get those kinds of shots.

My mom already misses them and can't wait for us to go back. We weretold we have to bring them with us whenever we come down to VT. :) It'sfunny, she spent a lot of time with the rabbits while I loved up herbirds the whole time.

Welcome Back!!!

Guess you know where you stand, ey? I'm so glad youwere able to finally see your family and get back into theStates. It's excellent your mom got to see you during yourpregnancy. I'm glad you took the rabbits too. :)

Yes, it was a great time. I even saw one of my cousins and her new baby, which I didn't expect.

The worst part was that I somehow left my glasses in Ottawa, so had towear my contacts all the time. I have very bad eyesight and cannot seea thing without contacts/glasses. It was bad and I was very angry withmyself for being so stupid as to leave my glasses at home.

I'm just glad the rabbits did so well. We were worried about how they'dreact to the car ride, which is about four hours, and being in a newenvironment. Valuran wasn't too happy at first, Abby thumped at us abit, and Chompers could have cared less.

Welcome back!

Welcome back, Stephanie. I bet it was lovelyseeing your folks again. Glad the buns travelled so well - had to laughthat Chompers " could have cared less". Nothing seems to phase thelittle guy. When John and I were away, my mom looked after Pernod andPerry - now she asks when we are going again, 'so the bunnies can comestay'! :?

Welcome back!

You were SO much help, I thought I'd share my bonding progress withyou. They are still playing in neutral territory (my bedroom)but Mocha adores Loki and she's worming her way into hisheart. He's finally starting to like her. Usuallyhe will only cuddle and groom with her if I'm petting both ofthem. Last night, he let her cuddle with him without me for atotal of 5 seconds! I'm going to start letting them into partof Mocha's territory soon.

That's wonderful! I'm so glad that they'restarting to really bond. :) Isn't it the best feeling, after all thathard work and time? They are just adorable. I'm so happy for you. :)
