I was looking around at other bunny blogs and I enjoyed the idea of creating my own so here we go! I'll give you all a little introduction of my bunnies.

Four days ago I went to a shelter to adopt my two bunnies. I knew exactly which ones I were getting so it wasn't one of those 'bunny chooses you' moments. The funny thing was the first bunny I saw when I went to the shelter was Romeo. He was sitting right by the fence and looking up at us as we entered into the bunny pen, from that moment when I saw him looking up I knew "he is definitely mine!.
Ishka however is a different story. She was hiding the whole time underneath one of their house thingo's. Honestly, I had the option to choose between her and another girl he took a liking to. Whilst I was trying to make a decision she popped her head out and started hopping around the room and I fell in love with her two odd ears. It made me think she was quirky, just like me!

So Romeo is a black otter Dwarf Lop who is around 8 - 12 months old. He is a very friendly bunny but hates and I mean HATES being picked up. The few times I've gone to pick him up to move him out of the pen he has sprayed/pee'd on me. I love how sometime when I lay down in the pen he comes over to give me little sniffs on my face.

Ishka is a blue Dwarf Lop and is around 6ish - 8 months old. She is a very timid, shy girl. As soon as you pet her she lowers herself to the ground and before long she will hop back into the cage and hide right in the corner. But unlike Romeo I can sometimes hold her, although she doesn't like it much either.
Whenever I'm lying down in the pen Ishka decides my toes look like a lovely treat and try to chew them haha, silly girl.

Anywho, I've fallen in love already and I'm hoping they will be healthy and live for a long time. They've been sneezing a little so Ill be getting a free check up at the vet where the shelter is because when I got the buns a lot of the rabbits were sneezing in the pen and the woman said if I hear them sneezing just bring them in, so Ill wait till Saturday to do that. Hopefully that's not too much of a wait for them.

Right now they're trying to get out from their pen to hop around my room but the two of them are such a handful and my room isn't bunny proofed. Also, I'm still trying to litter train them.

Here are some photo's of my bunny babies! I will post again soon! For now, lets just admire the pictures of my adorable bunnies

What lovely bunnies, she´s adorable, I love her colour and I see what you mean about his ears but he´s a handsome boy.

Hope they settle in OK and I´m sure over time, they may get better with being picked up. I remember mine hated it at first and now two of them I think actually quite like it. It is important to work on it slowly as you will need to handle them for vets visits, nail trimming, grooming and a few other things so if you can get them to tolerate it, it will make things so much easier.

Congratulations on becoming a bunny mom! They are super cute. I love Romeo's coloring. I've never seen a lop that color. I agree with Chrisdoc that they may get better about being held. Mine were like that and over time they have gotten better. We give them a treat after we pick them up so they have come to expect it and aren't so squirmy. :)
