The Little Emperor's Castle

Hi Everyone,

This is where our Little Emperor Napoleon lives. I know it's small, but he is out every second we are home and we are hoping to get a 2-3 level cage to fit in that same space for Easter.

He seems to like it though. His favourite part is his hidy cat hole at the back

And you can see what I mean about taking him a week to even get close to getting through his food bowls - They are quite big! Dudley our other bunny seems to get through them in one day though... Such a fatty

Also it is possible for grass to make bunny poos soft? Poe has about 3 squishy smelly ones today but he hasn't had ANY veggies (I have stopped them until his poos are completely normal 24/7 and then I can start again). Or it could possibly be the dried fruit bits he has in his 'Tropical Mix' food?

Hahaha well I do try and keep him entertained! I feel bad about keeping him in there for long periods of time (like when I am at uni for 8 hours! ), so leave lots of things in there for him to play with. He doesn't seem too interested in his hanging wood toy though which I thought would be perfect for him! He loves to throw around his silver metal box though and attack his pieces of paper I have hanging around when he is upset about being in his cage

I think he gets so tired from doing so much all night because all he does when he is out during the day is sleep next to me! Ahh the life of a bunny

P.s Of course you can visit! It is quite a long way away though from Austin! I have a friend there at the moment doing a semester of uni for Engineering, and my step-mum's mum grew up in Austin! I have never been though...

It's a nice home for Poe. The life of a bunny indeed. It is possible that the fresh grass may have made Poe's poops soft, if you feed too much. But, it's likely the fruit and bits in the "Tropical Food" mix.

Yep I think you are right. I am going to slowly switch him to a plain pellet mix. Apparently what I am feeding him is junk food! :cry1::foreheadsmack:

OHMYGOSH Poe was licking me non-stop today while I was nursing him! Usually he just grinds his teeth a little. Does this means he loves me back!

He also gave be a few soft nips on my neck... I hope that means be loves me EXTRA much

Congratulations! You have now entered "Buddy" status. He is grooming you and that's what we all strive for. That's the best connection with your bunny. Now you have built a foundation of trust! The strongest foundation known.

Yay! He has been very grumpy tonight though and when he hopped off my after he groomed me he gave me a few nips on my arms! They weren't hard nips but I think he wanted me to groom him back! Sorry Poe... Petting is the only grooming I know Then he was very adamant I not place anything on his desk or move him from anywhere but then every time I nurse him again to calm him he grooms me again! So confusing...

I am glad he thinks I'm his buddy though! Can they also do that to say sorry? Tonight I gave him a fright I think and he lunged out and attacked my arm and when I nursed him to calm him he went crazy on grooming me. I hope he was apologising because it hurt!!

Thanks again Karen - Seeing progress slowly but then back a few steps sometimes. I wish I could stop his aggression though... He would be such a happier bunny if he was layed back like Dudley!
