Did the kittens go to permanant homes? I know how hard it is to let them go, even after just a few weeks. You're an angel for giving them a wonderful start in life.

Oh I forgot to update she found a home with a lady that had a ferel for 15 years and loved that cat to death. Well it was not ferel after 15 years of course but the perfect home fop echo.. She even kept her name cause she got a great start with her life and that name

She knows hows it going to be so she wont bring her back after a few months.

I have not met her personally but she adopted Echo from the shelter.

The kittens went to the shelter I think reecy found a home when we where there but the adoption procces takes a few days. We thought she had a adopter but she did not pass the adoption prossecc. The first adopter.

I get a copy of the informations I do the homes visit for all the kittens. Normally this one lady does it but she is letting me do it. Just like ty the night foster I get I will do his home visit also if I foster him for more then 2 weeks.

I wnted them at the shelter because they get more exposer they are behind the front desk so they are not exposed to all the other cats so much just ty is right next to them. But they have three sets of shots so they are healthy little buggers anyway.

And our shelter does not put down if they are healthy and adoptable. Not even do to time.

TY has been at the shelter for 3 or 4 months.

They only put down very sick or unadoptable animals ferel cats and aggressive dogs.

so I know they will find good homes and they get a lot of attion also they have a great volenteer program now but only a few foster homes so we are normally full I am full with a mother and babys or one full grown cat. The other person takes about 10 cats and one dog foster for the whole shelter. She can take up to 5 dogs but she normally has puppys.

We sign a contract that all fosters will have to come back to the shelter when they are adoptable. Of course Echo was a outside find that I enrolled in the foster program.

Buts it feel good All my fosters or outside fosters have not been at the shelter more then 3 weeks. I have a running record betweenthe three foster parents. We meet once a month and talk about if someone needs to transfer a pet. Or what not. I can only take smalldogs. So I dont get asked for dogs very offen.

That's really great to know. It sounds like you have a great local shelter.

We got really lucky on galveston island, We had a humane society and a city shelter back in the day. Now the city contracts with the humaine society so they are one in the same now. So that way we dont loose as many city pets and the humaine society workls with the Houston spca.

So if there are two many they can send some to houston.

I will always stand behind them its a hard job and someone has to do it. They will soon have a in house vet so they dont have to take animals every morning to vets to be fixed and such.

Some time next year they are breaking ground on the new building also. A man that designs a few 100 spca and humaine design it for free and drew up the blue prints and all.

Its going to be greatr I sponcered a big cage in my pits jewel name. and a cat cage in phoenix and storms name.
