I decided to start a blog for Bob and Zeuy, (as he has become known as). I have for some reason put off their bonding. I guess I feel bad for whom ever becomes the 'inferior one'. And I was afraid it was going to be Bob. Because of his history, I was hoping he'd be the dominate one.

Anyway, I bought a small animal playpen and decided to try it outside. Only Bob has been on real grass before, and that was a long time ago. I thought it would be a goo dplace to begin reintroducing them. I am happy to report, that it went really well

:woohoo

They were very busy sniffing around at first. After a little bit, they took notice of each other. :brownbunny They sniffed eachother but only circled twice. Bob pretty much ignored Zeus. Zeus just sat there. He used to be the one that always mounted Bob. That was before he was neutered though. Zeus had plenty of opportunity to mount Bob, but didn't. I am wondering if that has something to do with the meeting'they had one day while I was at work! (Zeus escaped and went into the living room which is Bob's territory. There was Zeus hair ALL over! This happened quite a long time ago...in March maybe. Would they remember that far back?

Anyway, I am happy with the way it went today. :happyrabbit:I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. Question though...if they settle it outside (dominance) does that carry inside too? Or do I have rebond inside? I'd like them to both be in the Living room, which has always been Bob's. If he ends up dominating, will he be OK with Zeus in with him? THough I'm sure they'd be scuffles...:bunny22:

I know this may sound silly, but it's almost as if Zeus is mad at me! Well, sad I guess is a better decription. He hasn't come out very much from under the bed snce this afternoon's meeting with Bob.

I just gave him a hay cube to chew on, and he came to get it AFTER I left the room. I came back in, sat down on the floorand he went back under the bed! :cry2

This time of night he KNOWS i'm coming in for the love! He lays right down and lets me pet him for a good 30 minutes! I am sooo sad!:cry1:

Bob scared me last week at the groomers!!!! :shock2:

I had carried him there and didn't notice anything wrong...but when she was bathing him, she noticed he was bleeding!!!!! It was his front paw...Of course I scooted right over and sure enough..but only a few drops. As she looked him over on the table, we could see that one of his nails was loose!!!! She could bend it all the way back!!!! :nerves1 This of course is very painful so she called the vet right away...within the two minutes she was gone, (I was there talking to him) he had scratched a little on the towel, and when she got back, the nail was gone! The little guy took care of it himself!!! I felt soooo bad :cry2I don't know how it got loose!!!! HE wasn't behaving any differently so how would I know that he was hurting!!!!:dunno

So I put some meds on it for a few days, thankfully it didn't get infected...but phew...
