We're puttin pics of the 4-H kids in the local paper before the State Fair to Generate buyer intrest..

Christian got 2 pics in...and Blake has a series..he's so enamoured of himself.. he couldnt decide which one he liked best..

OH.. and guess who I got to see Sunday....

That is an awesome looking cow. Then again I'm used to dairy cows. What breed is that? I only ever see Herefords and Angus up here.

And is that Christian's 4H bun? I thought you did Cali's? LOL I'm looking more at the animals than the kids.

I hope the State Fair and the auctions go well! Odd that your state fair is so late in the season, or is that normal in the south? Our fairs all usually start before school does.

They said the kid needed to be pictured with an animal.. they didn't specify which one.. so Christian wanted his pic taken with his fav bun.. Frenchy.. or MooCow as she's now known cause she has spots like a Holstein cow..and not a show Cali..

Annabelle is an F-1, which means she's a first generation Hereford/Brahman cross breed. Her Mom was a Hereford and her Daddy was a Brahman.

She was bred to a Hereford, so the baby she is carrying will be a Braford.

In the South we have our Fair's in Oct, Feb, Marchand April.. it's just to hot to do it any other time of the year.
