We decided to go ahead and get the rabbit, withthe intention of fostering it until she's better. If we fall in lovewith her and our other rabbits accept her, then she'll stay. If not, atleast we're going to get her out of the there and on the road to abetter life.

We were going to get her today, but our storage in locked up until 8PMtonight (we live in an apartment building), so we can't get the othercage until later. I'm going to go ahead and buy her today, get somesupplies, such as extra vitamin suppliments.

I'll post pictures as soon as we get her. We're already trying to thinkof names :p. She's either a Rex or a Mini Rex, I forgot what the ladytold me. Right now, we're going back and forth as to bringing her tothe vet, as we're getting Abby spayed on Monday and usually an exam fora rabbit doesn't entail very much, unless getting x-rays and bloodwork. So we decided to wait until after the holidays to spay her (it's $120to get Abby done, plus you all know how money is around the holidays),and if she is showing signs of being very ill, then we'll bring her in.

So that's that! I feel good that we're doing this, even though I washaving reservations this morning. It's funny, I didn't bring it up toDave, letting him mull it over himself, then finally he says: "So, youwant to meet me at the pet store at six so we can get her?" He told methat she needs a good home and better treatment. :)

I am sooo glad I married someone who loves animals as much as I do.

Yay! A new bunnyto oggle over. Even if you just foster her, it will let you rest easier =)

I for one agree with your decision to get her. That sixth sense that animal lovers have never fails us =)

Yay, good for you and Dave - there is going to beone very happy bunny tonight. Seriously, I am so glad you are gettingher, even if it's only for a while, so she can get a chance to have ahappy life. Was a bit concerned when you said in your previous postthat she had no hay :(. Good luck - Jan

You're an angel, Stephanie. God Bless You and David!

Let us know how the first night goes.

:D

We're going to go pick her up once we cool off a little from ourworkout. The storage unit was opened up, so we were able to get Abby'sold baby cage. The back bay door was opened because someone was movingout, so that's why it was locked up. Good security at least!

We're both very excited, and are already thinking of names for her. Sofar it's either Holly or Bella, not sure. I'm going to take pictureswhen we get her home and will post them pronto. She's very pretty, although I think her face seems very small/thin. You'll see. I hope itgoes well with Abby and Chompers. Like I said earlier, we lucked outwith love at first sight with those two. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

And yes, the no hay BUGS me big time! At least the girl there that soldher to us was decent enough. We got to talking and she has two rabbitsherself and was honest with me when I told her my suspicons about therabbit being sick. She told me that yes, she was VERY thin (you couldactually see ribs on this poor thing), but that the rabbit hasimproved. I'm going to reallymake this a nice, healthy bunbun.
