OUCH !!

Lately toula and lou has been biting this and for the first time ME !!
They've neva bit me before, i mean when im in their way or sumthing they just nudge me and that but today when i was holding toula she bit me really hard it bled a bit.

and lately both buns have been biting on our clothing and everything else but mostly clothing.

Why are they suddenly doing this ?!

:nonono::dunno:nerves1

How old are they? Are they spayed/neutered? These concepts can make a huge difference.;) Believe it or not. They begin to calm down after spays/neuters after about 2 months at most.:)

they're about nine weeks isnt that a bit young? ( both gals )

Yeah, so spaying/neutering for these guys this soon.

They're just being babies at this point.:) So, unfortunately, you have a ways to do with the youngens:p. I'm so proud of you for handling these little ones though!;)

What is the right age to spay/neuter then?

I kknow there was a big deal about a petstore chain starting to sell bunnies that were already fixed but I thought the rabbit community hated that - but if they hit puberty at as early as 9 weeks... ?

Good question Leaf.... I had Mouse and Chalk spayed at 16 weeks, on the advice of someone from here but I know a lot of people also say to wait until like 6 months? Even so, they did absolutely great then...

Oh, and the nipping thing is difficult.... I used to say 'NO!' really loudly straightaway, and then ignore them for a bit, or try to... Always hard when they're so cute and they come after you like 'oh mummy! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!' lol!! :p

Sakura still nips at me and she's well over a year old now, and spayed.

With her it's sort of a grooming thing, and also a being cheeky thing. If she's grooming my face it always leads to her biting it, hard enough to hurt but not hard enough to break the skin, not quite sure why she does this. She has always nipped at my fingers since she was about 10 weeks old.

12 weeks/1kg minimum for spaying, providing you have an experianced vet. Some vets prefer to wait until 4-6 months though.

Small breeds tend to develop quicker, though 9 weeks is pretty early to get hormonal! Just try to keep your fingers intact a few more weeks ;)

Well today the wee ones havent bitten me or my sister or my two friends but they are still biting on our clothing, I bought them some lava rocks today and let them chew on it instead of me and they stoped chewing for a while. and everytime they start chewing i tap their nose and tell them no =] i'll c if that works =].

thank you all for your help.
