Yesterday I was making my weekly trip to my parent's house to hang out laundry. I ALWAYS take the rabbits with me. At the last second, I decided it was too hot to take the bunnys over to play in the grass.

On my way I tried to cross a two lane street and turn onto a side street, I was hit by a car going 50mph, spun around and hit a truck. The front of my car was compleatly gone! No one was seriously hurt, and I was fined for failure to yeild. But I thank God that my bunnies were not in the car. I am so happy it was too hot to take them outside yesterday, I don't even want to think what may have happened to them. I have some really nasty bruses and air bag rash, but that is nothing compaired to what would have happened to my bunnies!

So thank you God for keeping my bunnies at home! The good side is, now I get a brand new Rav4 that I have been wanting, but I'll miss my little car!

Yikes!!! I'm glad you're okay! What is it with idiots smashing their cars into RO members!?

Lol, it really was my fault, but I do think he was going to fast. But the funniest part is he is a driving instructor and he was driving a company car with the school name on it!

I'm glad you're ok Krissa. Something every similar happened to me a few weeks ago. I was the passenger and my friend stopped on a blind curve and then went ahead but there was a car coming. We got broadsided on the driver's side. We were going to Burger's Lake (I was visting her in Dallas) so we were wearing bathing suits. I got really badly bruised and burned on my legs and left arm by the air bag because I had no protection. I also had a big bruise on my stomach from the seat belt. It was so scary. For the first few days I couldn't walk on my right leg because my knee was so swollen. I went to the DR and he told me it was just bruising. It's been three weeks and I can walk without pain but the bruise is still there and the area is still hard. The burns have scabbed over and it's ugly looking but the doc said everything will heal and there should be no scars.

I hope you get the same prognosis or better!

Get well soon.:nurse

Ick, I guess I'm not wearing my bathing suit for awhile then! I have a nice seat belt bruise on my left shoulder and just under my hips turning a nice purple color.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean there. I was in a car wreck a while back, and had a seat belt bruise all the way from my shoulder to my hip. My shoulder actually was cut open by the seat belt, I had a scar there for a while. The girl that hit us was going about 65, we were really lucky that no one got more than nasty bumps and bruises.
