So, I decided to give Taz and Ruby their own blogs, not sure why, i just kinda felt like it... :rollseyes

Tasmanian Devil (Taz/Tazzie) is a female lionhead/dutch mix, although she looks nothing like a dutch! She has the smaller, compact body of a lionhead, the mane, the eyes, everything, so I just refer to her as a lionhead :p

She's a sweet little thing, born on July 21st along with her 3 siblings. We decided to keep her and her sister Pepper from that litter, but unfortunately, Pepper died.

We moved Taz indoors at my mom's house (my parents are divorced) because she had hurt her leg. We aren't sure if it was a break/sprain, etc.

Taz recovered, and now is hopping and binkying fine! :biggrin2: Still, the first few days after we brought her home, she wasn't herself. i personally think she missed Pepper, since the 2 had been together their while lives. She improved, and soon became more happy and energetic, (and mischievous) like she is today!

We plan on moving Tazzie into a big NIC cage we are building, along with her new "sister" bun Ruby! They will be in there with a divider until we can get them spayed and bonded.

Anyway, currently, we are working on getting Taz litterbox trained. She has improved quite a bit since we first started. She still is not fully trained; she's only pooping in the box for now. She'll get there soon :big wink:
Taz loves giving nose bonks and crawling around my feet, and running around. Soon, once she is litter trained, i want to give her more free realm of the house!

So concludes my first entry in Tasmanian Devil's bunny blog!! :)

So, I was wondering what you guys do for your buns for Christmas? I was going to put lots of toys in their cage, and make it really pretty, and I want to get harnesses for them (where do I get them/what size???) and I found this little tiny stocking that i want to use for them too :)

I also will give them a special feast of my own "rabbit tacos"! You take a big romaine heart, stuff it with rabbit food pellets, carrot peels, any veggie for them, and kind of fold it to make a taco! :biggrin2

Do you guys do anything special? Any ideas? Cool bunny food recipes?

Tazzie has been doing very well lately. She's such a sweetie; always begging for head rubs and nose bonks :) Litter training is still iffy with her, but she's getting there! Once she's in her big permanent cage, it should help somewhat.

My mom is starting to get a little frustrated with the smell, so my fingers are crossed that the buns will be litter trained soon!!

I briefly considered getting pretty garland to wrap around the top of the bunnies' pen (since it's 4' tall and they totally wouldn't be able to get up there to nom any), but at $3.50 per 15 feet, I decided it was a total rip-off. maybe if I'm not too terrified of the post-christmas shopping crowds, I'll get some on sale for next year (or just put it up year-round, hehe).

I also decided against getting them a stocking because then I'd have to buy toys to put in it and I know if I buy or make them a new toy, I'm just going to cave and give it to them right away instead of waiting until christmas.

Haha! That's exactly what happends here with Christmas gifts for the buns! :p

I'm glad Taz is a happy bun :) I hope you are able to get the litter box training figured out too.

I got my buns a new fluffy cat bed to snuggle in, for Christmas, but I don't know if I can wait that long to give it to them. They may get Christmas early :)

So, it looks like these blogs are starting to flop, so I'll update from time to time :)

I've been saving all of our paper towel and toilet paper rolls so I can build Foo a roll castle for her for Christmas! I think I'm going to get her a fluffy cat bed too.

How is she doing with the litter box training? What kind of litter are you using, I can't remember?

Blogs seem to do better if you include pictures. Everyone loves pictures of bunnies. And funny or cute stories of silly things they do, are good too.

I'll get pics going!! :)

Morgan: litter training is.... okay. I use Fresh News recycled paper litter :)
