hello i have pure bred netherland dwarf otter black need to tattoo it for showing in 4H do i us all numbers or all letters or both please let me know kevin

You can use numbers and letters. The combination can be whatever you like but it must be unique to that rabbit in your rabbitry.

do you use a clamp?

I've never had any problems fitting tats on an ear with a gun, but maybe I write small.

Yeah my nethies only have 3-4 letters in their ears (I didn't put them there, the first owners must have).

I have never used the clamp ones....I use the electric ones. I usually put BK and then a number. Right now I have BK1 to BK14. I dont go over 4 letters/numbers. You know which ones aren't mine because they don't have the BK.

Iowarollers-each breeder makes up their own tatto. For instance, my last name is Kubicek, so I put a K and then the rabbit's number. My first litter was K1 through K7, next litter K8 through K13, and so on. YOu can also use the intitials of your rabbitry name, but like Dyemond said, you have a breed with teensy ears, so your tattos will have to be pretty short. Oh, and BTW-in payment for the advice myself and others have given you-we demand nethie pictures! Also Mini Rex, we like those too.
