Cait's tattoo thread has me thinking about getting a tattoo again. I want a tattoo of Tallulah, my bunny that died in May of '08. This might sound dumb, but I don't want it to be in a really visible place. I'm going to be an elementary school teacher and I don't want to have to apply make up to it every day if they have a rule against tattoos (even cute bunny ones). Can anyone suggest some good places? I was thinking the front of my upper shoulder. It would be covered at school since I wouldn't wear any shirts with a big neckline (I don't normally wear things like that anyway). The spot I'm thinking of would be covered by a bra strap though!

Haha! I thought I posted this in the rat forum and couldn't find it so thought I'd check over here! Well, my question still stands. Of course, the bunny in question is Tallulah and I want the drawing of her dangling from the crescent moon that someone made for me last year.

how about on your back in between your shoulders, like in the middle of your upper back. I have one there, and it is not too visible unless i wear a shirt that hangs down low in the back and my hair is up, or if you wear a tank top type shirt.

Fewer and fewer school systems have a problem with tattoos. My coworkers have them on ankles, backs, arms, waists...etc. The kids ooo and ahh for a week or so, but then it's just commonplace. :)

I like your placement idea, but it will be uncomfortable to wear a bra for a while as it heals, I'm thinking that might be true (I don't have any, I just draw them LOL).

I can't wait to see it done!!!

before I retired you couldn't see any of my tattoos if I was wearing a tee shirt. I now have full sleeves, so I look like I have a shirt even if I'm not wearing one. The main thing to keep in mind is that it is easier to heal an area that is not contacted by any of your clothing--waist bands and straps being the biggest offenders. Lower back and upper thigh are the easiest to hide, as well as a shoulder or upper arm.

NOT ON YOUR FOOT!!!

LOL! I think being where the bra strap will hit it is a not so good idea... I like the idea of your shoulder blade, you can find bras that won't cover that area and just wear those for a couple weeks. Plus, you can hide it really well, and if you want to show it off you aren't exposing anything too out there, or pulling down your pants!

My tattoo is on my lower back. I guess there's an unfavorable term for that placement nowadays, but mine is more towards the middle of my back than the low lower back.

I originally wanted it between my shoulder blades, but was concerned that I might want to wear something with a low-cut back and may not want it showing.

When I was young and skinny, I would sometimes wear halter or backless tops. No more of that, though!

I am starting to think I want a rabbit-related tattoo, but am not yet sure where I want it.
