So, yesterday was spend driving two hours (there was HORRIBLE traffic...would've only taken about a half-hour otherwise) to test drive and possibly buy a 1997 Toyota 4Runner that we'd seen advertised online. I called ahead of time, gave the guy our number (including my husband's cell number), and he said he would let us know if the vehicle was bought before we got there (I'd also told him how far we were coming to look at it).

We had to go to the DMV to renew my license, so we got there at about 10am, and it was handled by I believe 11:30am. We then met our friends that were going with, and went on our drive to the dealership. We were met with traffic on EVERY freeway we tried to get on, and finally arrived there at about 2pm.

By the time we'd gotten on the road, the guy had called to let us know that someone had taken the vehicle out on a test drive...and by the time we'd arrived, the vehicle had been sold (but we'd not been called and informed of it).

While it was bad business practice to not call us, I thought we should give the 99 on the lot a chance, so we did. It had several obvious problems, so we decided...nah!

So, we took the drive over to another (larger, more professional) place, and met with the helpful team there, and they worked with us to finance a MUCH BETTER vehicle.

So, without further ado...I MUST share with you guys our beautiful new 2003 Toyota 4Runner SR5:

Isn't she (my new SUV) pretty??? I just have to think of a name for her. So, if you guys have any name suggestions, PLEASE let me know! :) She's champagne colored, so we'd been thinking a champagne brand name...but we're not sure other than that.

We're SO happy...we'd had a 96 Saturn SC2 for about four years, which meant we had NO leg room for that amount of time. I can't even begin to describe how happy we are with this beautiful vehicle. :)

Hugs to all!

:biggrin2:SWEET VICTORY:biggrin2:

Don't ask :p. I am just so happy that you got a new vehicle. How amazing that must feel for you! It's a new step ahead, so to say!

Great...when I take my roadtrip to CA to meet you someday (soon?!) we can eat at the IHOP...YUUUM!

Thanks, guys! :D

Yes...victory...very much so! I was so worried when Flora (what I'd planned on naming the 97, which was green) was sold...but wound up with something so much better!! :D

Yes...I would SO love to do the road trip, Amy...especially now that we have such a fun vehicle to take one in!! Sometime soon I wanna take a trip up PCH, and have a beautiful ocean view. :)

PCH is Pacific Coast Highway, and runs all along the coast of California...some FANTASTIC ocean views, just begging to be seen. :)

I think Em would love it...and if you came here for a visit, we would show ya. :)

Hugs!

I would love to see it!

My best friend and I want to take a road trip to Sea World (not sure how close that is to you)...we wanted to this summer...hopefully if we both save enough money to be able to do so!

Nice vechicle Rosie, and it's great that it's a 2003 it will last you alot longer than the 97. I've driven along the PCH many many moons ago with an X boyfriend and you are right it's a beautiful drive.

Rosie,

I'm so excited for you guys.....I told Drew and she binkied once at getting to ride home from the airport in a big car. Then she asked if she could go back to sleep 'cause she didn't know what an airport was or a big car was....I told her it was ok for her to go back to sleep. (Truthfully - I think she might be in a growth spurt again).

Anyway - I'm so happy for you....the car looks GREAT!

Thank you so much, guys! :D

Peg...hehe!! Drew is so cute...everyday I get closer to meeting my little sweeties...and I get so excited when I think about it! That's wonderful that she seems to be growing again! Wonder if she'll wind up being bigger than her brothers...hehe!!

I hope I never get used to how nice having this car is. It's such a huge difference, being able to see the road! :D

Rosie, it's so pretty! I looooova it~! I feel so out of the loop. Drew is a girl then? Wow. Indecisive baby. Lily is going a little hormonal on me now. :( Doesn't want me close to Loki at all. Loki seems to enjoy the attention though. haha. Well, just wanted to say that I love your car and how are your babies?

Hi, T! :D

Yep, Drew's a girl, alright! Was easier to tell once she was bigger, and now it seems she might be growing AGAIN! :D

The Girls are doing okay. It's gotten hot here, but they have their nice, frozen bricks, so we're all good here. :) We'll be rescheduling the spays here in the next couple weeks, so that'll still happen, just wound up later than expected. :)

Other than that, same ol same ol with these goofballs. Kitties are as wonderful as ever, too. :)

How about yours? I've missed chatting with ya!

Love and hugs,

Rosie*
