Well Iot some not so great news. It was false hope. Apparently though the vet wrap didn't seem to tight when I put it on, it began to cut off circulation (as warned in the article) and I had to take the bandages off as her feet began looking soo puffy. It scared me to death. I really don't want to put them back on.
=/ Please keep her in your prayers!

Rather then bandage like that try something slightly different.

put the cream on her feet, add some padding like shown, use a stretchy gauze type bandaging material usually called "Kling" or Cling or Roller gauze, it sticks to itself and is very stretchy. Wrap the area with that stuff fairly loose and use a small peice of first aid tape to stick it down to itself. Slip a sock over everything, and use a stretchy fabric tape at the top to tape the sock to her fur. you dont have to do it as tight as vet wrap to keep it on, but the sock may need to be re stuck to her a few times a day.

Yeah, I used a gauze very similar to that before that was sposed to stick to her, but she got it off every time. MaybeI"ll get some of this and try this one.

question: so if I am to take her into the vet, what would they want to/be able to do? Is there some sort of cream maybe that the have that would help and do better then what I"m using?

:anyone: I may take her in today if there's actually something they could maybe do, but I don't want to take her if it'll be a waste..

They should have a cream with better or stronger antibiotics in it. They will also be able to tell you if it is caused from pressure ( weight on wire ) or by a bacteria. Timmy the one we put soxs on walked through an area in back yard that had a lot of worms or night crawlers in it. His was caused from bacteria.

So just thought I'd give a quick update:

Her feet look pretty much the same. A little fur maybe has grown in (not much but a bit) The skin looks like maybe its cracking alittle though, but maybe I'm seeing dried in Neosporin as I've been putting it on for so long. SHe hasn't been in to thevet, but I"m just kind of watching her for now I think. Hoping more fur will just keep growing in.

Hi have you tried Bag Balm?

I've used it on mine for different things and it works.

Susan:)

I've got some from when my other mini rex Speckles had sore hocks. It seemed like every piece of dirt or *anything* stuck to it and she is an outside bunny (in a hutch of course though) Anyway, I was hesitant to do that and get infection started. Maybe I'll still try it though.

Maybe being outside doesn't help the problem especially if she's in the dirt. Can you not bring her in to live inside?

I'm sorry i'm not a fan of outside bunnies, just my opinion.

Susan;)

Well, she's in a hutch, and its not full of dirt. I keep it really clean, just the fact of it being out there, I was worried about getting stuff stuck to her feet. Her cage itself is 2 levels, All layered fleece upstairs and 2/3 fleece on the bottom level. Then there's just hay in there besides that and her small blanket she snuggles in.
I can't bring her inside~several in my family have allergies and inside bunnies make things worse. Maybe I'll try the bag balm, but just check to be sure its fine.

I know someone cut the fingers off of cotton gloves as a way to wrap the feet of bunnies with sore hocks before. You probably won't be able to wrap it--that's just how bunnies are. The vet may have some stronger antibiotic ointments. One I have used in the past is Silvadene, which is awesome at clearing up skin wounds. If the hocks are really badly infected, systemic antibiotics might be good too.
