My dad feeds my rabbits sweet feed as a "treat" i told him not to cuz it will mak them over weight which is not good for a show rabbit. i was wondering is it bad for them?:?

you are most likely right,,though i donot know whatsweet feed is-or-contains??--rabbits are stictly herbivores--grass eaters-for the most part,ie.timothy or orchard grasses--this will make up 70% of the rabbits diet,,--digestable foods are given sparingly--that would be rabbit pellets..there is a rabbit website called medirabbit.com-,it gives a better detailed info about nutrition--dos and don,ts---sincerely james waller-:pray:not dead yet!!:winki suffered a heart attack 3-28-11-,i,m am back
 
Id say no to the sweet feed, there are much healthier treats out there for bunnies. Especially no to the ammount your dad is feeding them. No need for the corn.

For those who dont know what it is...

some brands have more of certain items, some have less.

And I will admit it tastes half decent... If I was at the barn with the hoses and got hungry, I would snack on certain bits of the sweet feed :p that and the oat and molasses cookies for horses.... mmm those were good.
